The building was constructed by a group of locals - Allen and Jack Du Feu, Stan Wickenden, Ron Johnston, Rod Baker, Stan Martin and Ben Gunn, and opened by Manukau Mayor Barry Curtis on October 19, 1985. Rural Fire Service @ Orere Point. The Orere Point Volunteer Rural Fire Force kicked off in 1973 as the Orere Point Fire Force, and it continues to give good service to the community. Current Fire Officers are:. Deputy Chief Fire Officer. New members recently welcomed to the service are Jarrod McKay, Willie Mahu, Andrew Stoneham and Peter Swallow. We are always interested in talking to people who are considering joining, and inquiries can be directed to any of the above.

2015/01/26 Estrenando la temporada de Trave por Lunada. Parecía que núnca iba a llegar el día, pero por fin he debutado esta temporada. Eso sí una rápida escapada a nuestra pequeña Suiza Lunatika. Partimos de las bordas de Lunada, donde hay un par de huecos donde dejar el vehículo (PK4.5). Cubada Grande, Castro Valnera, Pico de la Miel, La Mota. parece que están lejos, pero por ahí andaré en breve. Nubes entran desde el Este. Nata a la puerta de la cabaña. Panorámica al Sur, las nubes lo cubren todo.
