Following An Unbeaten Path. Friday, February 17, 2012. DIY Coconut Oil Body Scrub. I am a huge fan of coconut oil and all of the amazing health benefits that come from using it, so making a body scrub from the miracle ingredient was a natural succession for me. I haven't tried too many different blends for a scrub, but this one seems to work really well and has a nice light smell to it :). Vanilla Coconut Body Scrub. 1/3 c virgin olive oil. 1/3 c coconut oil (softened in the microwave). 1/3 c brown sugar.

Following An Unbeaten Path: Looks Like a "No Snow" Snow Day

Following An Unbeaten Path. Sunday, January 1, 2012. Looks Like a "No Snow" Snow Day. So, we still have no snow in Maine. I'm not complaining, I'm not a big snow person. I don't ski, ride snow machines, or even ice skate. They all seem like fun, it's just way too cold! But the kids, on the other hand, would like to see some white fluffy stuff. I think I may have left the hospital with the wrong babies :). And of course the hot cocoa! 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder. 1/2 cup white sugar. 3 1/2 cups milk.

Following An Unbeaten Path. Monday, February 6, 2012. Stained Glass Finger Painting. January was a whirlwind around here! I think there were only about 3 days where everyone in the house was healthy at the same time :( And we fought the stomach flu for about 3 weeks straight. Thankfully it was fast moving for the victim, but it took forever to get through all the people! All you need is a good quality freezer bag (gallon size) and a few good squirts of a thick paint. That's it! And down time, too :).

Following An Unbeaten Path: Recycled Newspaper Seed Pots
http://anunbeatenpath.blogspot.com/2012/04/recycled-newspaper-seed-pots.html
Following An Unbeaten Path. Sunday, April 1, 2012. Recycled Newspaper Seed Pots. Thank you Pinterest for yet another ingenious way for us to save money and be healthy at the same time! Instead of buying pots for our seedlings, we made them out of the the newspaper that we were going to recycle anyway. All you need is a stack of old newspapers, tape, and a can. You'll need to use the sheets that are doubled in size. Otherwise they come out a little flimsy. Fold it in half. Recycled Newspaper Seed Pots.
