There are two obvious first tricks to teach a bunny: one is “come” and the other is “sit up”. Otto didn’t seem excited about coming when called (what bunny is? So I’m starting to wonder if bunnies are just not hardwired to understand speech the way dogs are. Otto seems to have a very difficult time understanding voice commands without any hand signals or body languages, and maybe this is something all rabbits have in common. Maybe my talking is mostly meaningless to him.

We’re learning together and I’m amazed at how much he learned in only the first month of training. We’re starting with easy tricks like “sit up” and “spin” but I hope to use clicker training for more practical things – getting him to sit still for nail trimming would be nice! Sunday, November 28, 2010. I only had one opportunity to head to UGA to tailgate this year. The final game was against Georgia Tech and it was cold! Lots of friends came to spend the day with us. I had to stop and nap for a while. Once I was rested, I had a great time chasing sticks in the garden. Walker loved to throw them over the wall so that I could fly over and bring them back! They took lots of blood to try and figure out what was happening. You can see bandages on 3 legs! Friday, June 25, 2010.

Otto was born on 6/8/2008. The Sire was Silverspoons Nothing Personal "Cooper" who won several championships including the #1 Bulldog for 2007 and 2008 ( http:/ sites.google.com/site/cooperssite/. The Dam was Poboy's Mad About Blaryn, also a champion. Otto is the best natured bulldog we have ever known. He's smart, gentle, sweet, loving, playful and loves to dress up. His favorite things are sleeping, eating, petting, going for "short" walks and contemplating life.
