Sunday, September 23, 2012. This morning I took a few pictures of Mike in his new suit so we could show Fran. After losing 60 pounds, everything just hangs. Thank goodness for belts! On more than one occasion, people have come up to me to make sure Mike wasn't sick - saying he looks emaciated, etc. I, on the other hand, think that he looks wonderful. Thursday, August 1, 2013. Our stake decided to make their own handcarts this year and we actually trekked within our stake boundaries instead of traveling to Oklahoma. Yay for less travel time! They even branded the temple on each one! The weather was quite mild this year. In fact, it rained for several days prior to the trek and a little bit on our first day. So the temperature was in the 70's . maybe reaching low 80's on occasion. The downside of that was the MUD and puddles and humidity. About 1/2 way...

Our Family in Oz. We had a place to live at last and had our familiar creature-comforts in there. At last we were settled or almost anyway. I wanted to join the Police, I’d applied very shortly after we’d got here, and had done the fitness test. But the process is long and slow, and there was no guarantee that I’d get in anyway. I’d ran out of time, and had to revert to a software job, and HAD to get it as fast as was possible. I took the offer, I had no other choice, and I started work a week later.

He didn't have a whole lot to say other than that his incision was looking good and we were cleared to remove his bandage and give him a proper bath! Quickest appointment of the day. They did however ask us if he had eaten any rocks recently.
