There's no better way to celebrate finishing the first week of school than with a three day weekend! As usual, we headed down to the Outer Banks and spent the weekend at the beach with my parents. Alex has been having football practice each Saturday morning for the past five weeks. It all led up to tonight - the big game. He has been waiting for tonight's game since the season started. They got to play on the actual football field rather than the practice field, and they got to play under the lights since it was nighttime. He had such a blast! And to top things off - his team won!

Each one picked a really cool design. The boys "helped" by running around the yard while Andy did all of the carving. This is what they looked like all lit up outside. Alex - ever the Gator fan. The boys had so much fun dressing up. I had so much fun working at school each day and seeing all the different costumes. There are definitely some creative students at GCA. Alex as Davey Crocket. This was his response when I told him that if his tummy hurt too much to finish his dinner, it would hurt too much to eat ice cream. This child hates dinner more than anyone I know.
