Our Weird and Wonderful World. Some observations from travels. Having been back home meant back to the usual grind of life – work, friends, coffees, food, sights, sounds, smells and of course the beach. Ailsa’s. A couple of the beaches I enjoy visiting on the Gold Coast has a good collection of stones, both big and small. A bird’s view of Burleigh Heads and Surfer’s Paradise. Fishing and boating on the Spit. On our second night we discovered this alternative-looking cafe up the street from our home stay and had been visiting it everyday! The food is a wide selection of healthier choices of both modern Balinese and umphed-up old-time favourites. It is centrally located along Jalan Hanoman amongst a variety of other restaurants, cafes, shops and temples.
