Our Year in Europe. Is this the Best Christmas Market. January 7, 2015. While the Nuremberg Christmas Market has been our favourite the market we visited at Goslar had some of the ingredients we had been missing at all of our previous markets. Goslar is in the Harz Mountains so it was still very cold when we arrived here during the middle of the day. As we walked to the markets in the walled city which is filled with beautiful Tudor-style buildings it began to snow a little. Even More Ice Fun. Our first ...

Our Year in Europe. 4 Weeks Down Under. February 12, 2015. It has now been about four weeks since we returned to Australia. It is a very strange feeling being surrounded by everything familiar, but feeling disconnected at the same time. We have been hugely impacted as a family by our time away, but at the same time it can often feel like we have not been away. It is nice to go to the grocery shops and understand what you are buying, but I am often surprised when I hear people speaking English. So our ret...
What a Year | Our Year in Europe
https://ouryearineurope.wordpress.com/2015/01/11/what-a-year
Our Year in Europe. January 11, 2015. Well what a year; we always knew that 2014 was going to be a different year from any we had experienced before. We knew we would be travelling throughout Europe but other than the small amount of info we had garnered from travel magazines and from the internet we didn’t really know what was before us. Our About page on this blog says that we want to achieve the following three things:. We hope to grow together as a family. We hope to grow closer to God. Many of our m...

Our Year in Europe. March 18, 2015. As I have mentioned previously we have been contacted by a number of families since we have returned to Australia. These families are all in the process of planning to do a trip similar to Our Year in Europe . Most have been Australian; there has however been one from Brazil. It has been enjoyable to respond to these families and endeavour to pass along any information we can give them to help them with their planning. 4 Weeks Down Under. June 29, 2015 at 4:29 am.

For years we dreamed about driving trough Europe in a camper van with out family but as a foreign citizen we were not able to buy and register a vehicle in Europe. Our Year Away | Family of five take one year out to travel the world.
Family of five take one year out to travel the world. Then don’t take a year off to travel the world! February 28, 2012. With my family beside me. Apparently it’s quite a common bucket list item, albeit mostly for those going through a midlife crisis. That’s when I found out the exact time of sunset just eight minutes away at 5.43pm! Just because the sun disappears behind a hole in the ground, doesn’t make it that special, does it? And if it mattered that much, surely we could rearrange our plans? Stream...

Our Year In Books
Wednesday, March 18, 2015. In literature and fiction, anything in the sci-fi or fantasy genres have always been a bridge too far for me. I find this type of story challenging beyond words. I do not desire to "learn" a new world and the machinations thereof. I am challenged enough by the nuances of the world I know. Thus, I can count on one hand the books I have read in this genre in my lifetime. As an "easy and quick read.". I can see why The Giver. Rating: 3.5 out of 7. Wednesday, January 28, 2015.
Our year in Chile
Our year in Chile. Valle de la Luna / Atacama Desert. Tuesday, April 9, 2013. A sort of homecoming. We are back blogging - because we went back to Chile! We took a couple of weeks to visit our friends and "Family" in Castro, on the island of Chiloé, after an absence of a year and a half. It was wonderful! Much to our delight, we remembered everyone, everyone remembered us, and we had better weather than we had any reason to hope for. After spending Monday recovering, sleeping in and catching up. we h...

Our Year In Italy. Tuesday, October 9, 2012. THE RHYTHM OF THE DAY (Village Style). Shops and workplaces are closed from 2-5pm. Dreaming of Paris
Monday, July 9, 2012. Au revoir, Paris! I was going to title this entry "Goodbye, Paris," but I realized that although it's time to go, this is not goodbye, it's just au revoir. 8213;till we see each other again. There is some sadness in the air, of course; how could there not be? Paris welcomed us with open arms and became our home for a year. Dianny and I have truly loved living here and are going to miss this place. Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.". 8213; Dr. Seuss. 8220;If you...
