Letters to RS – 3 | Strangers in a Normal Land
https://strangersinnormal.wordpress.com/2011/04/22/letters-to-rs-3
Strangers in a Normal Land. Life as a Strange Mamma. Letters to RS – 3. Between emails and facebook and skype, by the time I get to this, I have no idea what I’ve said and haven’t said. But I’ll just try to make note of the salient points of the day…for posterity’s sake? And I’ll try to do it at not 10:30 as my primary goal is hurry up and sleep at this point. I hate neighborhood cats and I hate the ice cream truck. Just sayin’. Does that make you feel better? Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Follow Strangers...

Strangers in a Normal Land. Life as a Strange Mamma. Letters to RS – 2. This will be easier when I don’t have someone to talk to after the kids go down. Not because I say it to Mumsy, I don’t, I have all manner of thoughts in my head, I just have trouble focusing with someone else in the room and by the time I get upstairs, I’m wiped and just want to go to sleep. Even for this short time? It’s after midnight, time to sleep. Letters to RS – 1. So that’s my tidbit for today. Letters to the Rocket Scientist.

Strangers in a Normal Land. Life as a Strange Mamma. Monthly Archives: June 2014. The habit of failure. Do you ever think to yourself, ‘gee, I’d sure like to exercise/read/write more, eat less, get up earlier, have a clean house (and not just when company is coming), watch less tv, be on facebook less, [insert your goal here]’? I will take your uncomfortable silence as aggreement. That’s another post altogether.). Will I see food differently? I don’t know. I have to say, at this point, I don...Fun tim...

New Beginnings | Strangers in a Normal Land
https://strangersinnormal.wordpress.com/2013/02/07/new-beginnings
Strangers in a Normal Land. Life as a Strange Mamma. This week my second son would have turned a year old. Instead, I have a beautiful baby girl who’s just 11 weeks. A handful of pictures and the feel of his tiny body fitting in the palm of my hand. The mind doesn’t want to fit itself around the idea that if he had lived, the girl sleeping beside me would never have existed. Or perhaps precious is the word. Yes Precious. Blatantly, Glaringly, Wildly precious. So here I am. Beginning anew. Startin...The R...

The best is yet to come…. Author Archives: Gail Gammell. March 31, 2012. Hello, again…By the way, my title has nothing to do with my post; I just like it. Choices | Irish Dreamer

The best is yet to come…. Remembering love… →. January 16, 2012. Besides God, of course. So I began to think back on all the choices I’ve made over these many, many years and come to a conclusion. Although pop culture would have us believe we ‘always have a choice’, I am not so sure. From our perspective, sure, it appears that way. But things aren’t always as they appear. (Don’t you love that expression? Please feel free to comment. I’ll be back soon. This entry was posted in Faith. Notify me of new comm...

The best is yet to come…. March Madness →. Answers I will never forget…Part 1. February 26, 2012. Of course unbeknownst to me, I was actually creating the illusion of my dire straits by a terrible social faux pas: in the US one does NOT wear the same outfit two days in a row, let alone three or four. I awoke feeling not that different, maybe a little expectant, but fortunately had classes all morning. Then when I was in the cafeteria having lunch I was told to report to the rotunda. When I got th...There...

Remember… | Irish Dreamer

The best is yet to come…. Out with the Old, In with the New…. January 2, 2012. Well, Dear Readers, I have my word for the New Year. The hint is in the title…actually, it. The title of this post. Here’s how I happened on it…. Once in Royal David’s City. O Little Town of Bethlehem. But I remember those years as a run-up to the day and days when I would give Him my whole heart, and coming to understand that true and full surrender takes a lifetime. This is but the beginning of my remembering. I hope you...

The best is yet to come…. Answers I will never forget…Part 1. March 31, 2012. Hello, again…By the way, my title has. To do with my post; I just like it. I am, and I’m not even trying. Sometimes a girl just needs her mother and wasn’t I lucky to have picked the right time! I didn’t want to impinge on their time together, so I’d stayed in a little BnB nearby, and babysat while the two girls had a night out on their own before Em left a couple of days later. Those two. The best is yet to come…. Newer posts →. Technology – ain’t it grand? June 14, 2011. Thankfully all my data and email transferred over from my deceased desktop and my dying laptop, so am most grateful to the boys at Staples for that. But it’s all I can do to figure out what all the keys on the keyboard are for on this laptop. Fortunately, if I don’t look at them, my fingers seem to know where to go, so yay for touch typing courses. Cheerio, dear reader. A Mother’s Secret Exposed. May 8, 2011. I first ran...
