CAUTION THINKING: May 2011
http://cautionthinking.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 31, 2011. To facilitate gaming in my elaborate Erul-Iton D&D setting. Eric, Rob and I rocked a plain Ikea table into a gaming platform. First, we sanded, primed, and sprayed it down with chalkboard paint. Using 1 inch wide masking tape, we laid out half of the grid by leaving the tiniest space possible between the strips. We left a few inches around the outside for note-taking, arrow-tallying, Munchkin level-marking, and the like, and sprayed it down with white paint.

CAUTION THINKING: April 2010
http://cautionthinking.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Tuesday, April 20, 2010. Greetings on behalf of the apes who once lived here. For your convenience, this record was painstakingly chiseled into stone in five fundamentally different languages I just invented. I trust you were able to find one similar enough to your own form of communication to decode it. The story starts with a giant ball of goo in the sky. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

CAUTION THINKING: October 2009
http://cautionthinking.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Saturday, October 24, 2009. I recently started watching Showtime's Dexter. I expected yet another immersive and artistic serial wonderfully free of some - certainly not all, mind you - of the constraints placed upon such series by the big networks. Also, I thought Michael C. Hall was the best part about Six Feet Under. Anyway, what I wasn't expecting was a fun and frightening take on a theme I encounter over and over not just in the stuff I read and watch, but in my own artistic pursuits. If the group de...

CAUTION THINKING: November 2009
http://cautionthinking.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Friday, November 27, 2009. Two Hundred and Thirty-five Angels. A cordite charge ignites. Ninety pounds of uranium are launched at another sixty pounds at a thousand feet per second,. The mothership slides out of F-space just beyond the beacon perimeter. It is a massive and sluggish craft, but the forward zetarays make short work of the nearest defensive platform before it can launch intercept fighters. The whole thing goes up in a big green cloud. It could not be allowed to happen. Collision with ano...

CAUTION THINKING: July 2010
http://cautionthinking.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 12, 2010. Hello, Blog. Didn't See You There. I wish I could find the enthusiasm for my other projects that I seem to have acquired for this new thing, but I suppose that's not something one can influence too much. Anyway, I've been meaning to do this for some time now. I'm in the midst of a forum adventure on the MS Paint Adventures. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Hello, Blog. Didnt See You There.

CAUTION THINKING: December 2009
http://cautionthinking.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 31, 2009. Was what I said when I dusted off Output: Opinion. Last week in preparation for my review of the aughts. When I set that blog up, I didn't have a great understanding of google's picasa system - and also I had not yet signed over my entire existence to that establishment as I have now. Anyway, I uploaded the animated gif for the sidebar to my Geocities website and just linked to it. Geocites, of course, is now defunct and I found a broken image icon where my Yesnobot. They did...

CAUTION THINKING: July 2009
http://cautionthinking.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Saturday, July 25, 2009. Tales from the front desk. I know I promised an angry tirade or two, but my crushing overtime schedule hasn't been quite so bad. I've also been working on some maps for Erul-Iton. Instead of fury, I offer comedy. But first, I feel I must elaborate a bit. I'm tempted to just say "the rich" when I complain about the residents, but putting aside my usual complaints about money, class, and power. Some of these people have so much money, they're completely useless. In the future, I'll...

CAUTION THINKING: ABGttEotU - Final Thoughts
http://cautionthinking.blogspot.com/2011/02/abgtteotu-final-thoughts.html
Wednesday, February 9, 2011. ABGttEotU - Final Thoughts. I'd say this merits some examination. It isn't too hard to figure out why I enjoyed it so much - the system of gratification. I've known for a long time that I lack the discipline to, say, write a novel. I can barely draft a first chapter without endlessly scrutinizing it, endlessly judging myself and the whole idea so much that I quit the project in shame. February 9, 2011 at 11:28 PM. Very much enjoyed the shit out of ABGttEotU - some Zen-like bu...
