This year the Ride celebrating 28 years! Who thought up this crazy idea of a one-day ride from Boston to Provincetown anyway? How it all began. On Ride Day, everyone will receive a copy of the 2016 map after signing in, but if you're curious about the route, you can download a copy in miles. Is this Ride for super athletes or just regular folk? Do you need a fancy bike? If you're considering participating in 2016 but are wondering if you will stand out in the crowd, here's some information.

Cyclists on this Ride will be challenged with varying terrain and weather. This is a long Ride that needs proper preparation and training. But, it is also an enjoyable and well-supported Ride. The five rest and refueling stops along the way offer much needed water, food and support. You will be surrounded by cyclists of varying riding abilities and will find others to ride along with. Train for the Ride. If you can do a 90 mile (145km) ride without being exhausted, you should be in good shape to do this one. Start with frequent, shorter distance rides and work up to longer ones.
