Urja's performance and choreographic credits include:. Bells for the National Theatre. Daredevas, the South Bank Centre. Akademi in The National Portrait Gallery. Specially commissioned work for Medway fuse Festival. Baharan-The Spring, Hats, Dwayam, Anant, Flux. She has toured her own productions of Kathak Through Ages, Baharan and Hats to widespread acclaim. Urja is currently working on a commission for Medway Fuse Festival on a site specific performance piece and is co-choreographer for Dwayam.

Urja has extensive experience in conducting educational workshops teaching Kathak all over the country for many years. She has experiences of teaching all age groups in all types of institutions and settings; schools, colleges, universities, community engagements, festivals and outdoor events. Urja also teaches Kathak curriculum as prescribed by ISTD. Urja also specializes in teaching Indian folk dances.

Bharata Natyam dance originated from Southern India. It is inspired from ancient Indian sculptures. Bharata Natyam is a blend of expressions, melody and rhythm. It has different postures.
