A Blog for parents, educators and those genuinely interested in youth. Monday, July 03, 2006. It is summer . but. Nobody knows the value of relaxation more than I do. My good friends would tell you that I had a minor in relaxation. I once had a professor offer me a pillow at the start of a class .nice. In my house we look forward to those winter storms that shut down our lives and the kids stay in their pj's (hence the term jammy day) while I go out and snowblow the driveway. A Blog for parents, educators and those genuinely interested in youth. Monday, August 21, 2006. After a busy summer my thoughts are turning to "back to school". It is a little sad but I have had a great summer . no "vacation" but I am on the fourth of four projects (all kid based)so it has been a very hectic and satisfying summer. We have bought the school supplies, started to get the kids up a little earlier each morning, slowly work back to that fall schedule to avoid the shock to all of our systems.

The worst thing about this is that I was operating under the assumption that I was doing the best thing for the kids in the class. They knew different. Luckily it only took me 20 years to learn that lesson. Posted by Bob at 10:31 AM. I may writ...

A Blog for parents, educators and those genuinely interested in youth. Friday, February 10, 2006. Honest, I won't listen to it in class. Are you kidding me? If a kid brings an ipod, mp3, cell phone, gadget to school there is a very high probability they will at least be trying to use it in the classroom. This is a distraction! And by the way if you give your kid a cell phone; here are some tips. 1 Get a second job. 2 don't call them during class time. 1give your kid a cell phone. But I'm not bitter.
