How This Project Began. We formed Park Partners because we saw the need for improved playground equipment in Chatfield s City Park. We ve all visited the park and noticed the deterioration of the equipment now there. The seesaws are gone because they weren t safe, the climbing gym is partially boarded up and the playing surfaces are not up to code to protect against falls and this names just a few of the problems ( see a comparison. How This Project Began. Leathers and Associates has given us step-by-step instructions on preparing for this new park. We ve already got our design so now we re working on finalizing materials, fundraising and getting most of these materials donated. Then in October, we ll gather for a five-day build. That s right in five days we ll go from bare ground to a brand new playground ready for kids!

How This Project Began. We are still in the planning phases of this project so the materials are being chosen. Leathers and Associates does require using the highest quality materials available. Here is an example of how some different materials are used. Combinations of steel balusters, pressure treated wood posts and plastic composite wood.
