Over the last 3 terms, we have been doing debating and this week's topic was :big game trophy hunting is ok. I was on the team that was against it, we won 86-90. Overall, I think debating has taught me how to stand up for my beliefs, use persuasive language to craft an argument based on my team's position, collaboration and how to research using scholarly websites. We were then introduced to the instructors who's names were: Rae (Snazzy, he's the one who looks like Jack Black), Arial (oreo), Henry (chicken) and James (squirrel), (the names in brackets are their nicknames). They showed us how to pack our kayaks then got us to pack ours. Overall it was an amazing but cold experience but I would totally do it again. Georgia @ Paroa School.

Georgia @ Greymouth High School. Greymouth, West Coast, New Zealand. Friday, 18 November 2016. On the 14th of November at 12:02 56, a magnitude 7.8 earthquake with a depth of 16km struck north-east Culverden affecting towns and cities all across the south island, leaving two people dead and causing buildings and cliff faces to come crashing down. There have been many aftershocks since ranging from a magnitude 3 to a magnitude 6. Some towns have even had to evacuate because of tsunami warnings.

Catarina @ Paroa School. Wednesday, 23 November 2016. Challenge #6 Tramping the Mikonui. Tramping was a very interesting experience with my peers. It was nice to be in the Great Outdoors with my old friends. The River crossings meant that we had to have trust in each other. One of my favourite parts of when we got to jump off a rock into a freezing cold river. Jumping off a rock into cold water is quite exhilarating. This was a good experience and I can't wait till the next challenge.

Catarina @ Paroa School. Friday, 26 August 2016. End of Basketball Tournament! This season was my first basketball season, and I really enjoyed it! Yesterday was the last game I had for Paroa School and we played against the St Patrick team. We had a really good game and our team work was the best it has been the whole season. Catarina @ Paroa School. Friday, 18 November 2016. This week has been a big week for New Zealand. The 7.8 earthquake in Kaikoura turned loved homes, into rubble. My heart goes out to the Kaikoura Community, it must be really hard to go through what they are right now. We could feel the earthquake here in Greymouth, so I can't imagine how viscous it would be in Kaikoura. Although I am looking forward to High School, to reunite with my friends from other schools and share memories with them as well.

I had a great time with all my class and I will never forget the fun and funny moments doing everything like cooking with my group we had a great dinner we had pasta and dessert we lots marshmallow, chocolate and biscuits, later we did lots of laughable riddles got most of them easy and some really hard to get but they were so simple.
