Patagonia Wild Waters: 3/1/11 - 4/1/11

The Fly Fishing Experience. Another great day in Patagonia! We went for some action to one of the beautiful lakes we have near San Martin de los Andes. The day was perfect with a chilly morning but the sun warmed up us all the afternoon. The fishing was great since the first 3 hours the calm waters let us see the fly and it was really difficult to be calm when the trout were at only 15 inches from it and we needed to accelerate so they attacked! It was amazing to see up to three trout following our flies!

The fishing started out slow but improved with some nice rainbows. We expect the arrival of the willow tree worm, which makes these waters explode every summer. A great sel...

Patagonia Wild Waters: Season 2010 - 2011
http://patagoniawildwaters.blogspot.com/2011/02/season-2010-2011.html
The Fly Fishing Experience. Season 2010 - 2011. This season started with perfect water level and that allowed great fishing until the last 2 weeks where the really hot weather made the trout feeding less than usual so we needed to take advantage of our experience and knowledge to go with our clients to the best possible spots. We were fishing with streamers, nymphs and dries depending on the river conditions but this year the attractors shone more than usual. Season 2010 - 2011. Patagonia Wild Waters Site.

The Fly Fishing Experience. The Chimehuin Boca "Fever". As part of this amazing sport I love, we can find a lot of old books with great stories of the most famous fly fisherman which came to Patagonia many years ago. One of them, Joe Brooks was the creator of the known Boca fever term, in reference to the Chimehuin Boca and the special feeling of fishing there. A couple of days ago, the weather turned really bad, windy, rainy and cold, which means for every fly fisherman, it´s the boca time! A new round ...
