London Undone: February 2010

http://paulherringshaw.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html

Sunday, 14 February 2010. Reading the London Novels: London Fields by Martin Amis. I approached this book with high hopes, having been led to believe it was one of the Great London Novels but after reading a few hundred pages I began to feel something was lacking from the book. Hmm. What was it? Oh, yes - a plot! And as if that wasn't disappointing enough, it isn't even set in London Fields, instead being mainly based around the oh-so-trendy trustafarian/tourist district of Portobello Road. The title...

London Undone: September 2009

http://paulherringshaw.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html

Thursday, 24 September 2009. I have decided to branch out into obscene cartoons, and this is my first effort. Tuesday, 22 September 2009. The End of the London Paper. Now that the wind has carried the last solitary copy of thelondonpaper off the streets of the capital forever I can't help but wonder what will happen to distributors of the rival London Lite; with no one to talk to as they hand out papers in the wind and rain, will they grow despondent and eventually wither away and die? Not giving a Fox.

London Undone: May 2009

Saturday, 30 May 2009. In Cyberspace, No One Can Hear You Scream. And hasn't the internet been somewhat overrated in this regard? To paraphrase Sideshow Bob, I'm well aware of the irony of using a blog using the medium itself, but that doesn't change the fact that I've used my first blog to not only attack the system that supports it but to declare that, by and large, blogs are a waste of time. And that's not a very optimistic start, is it? No, not really. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Not giving a Fox.

Saturday, 12 December 2009. Reading the London Novels: Patrick Hamilton's Twenty Thousand Streets Under the Sky. I have decided to read as many novels set in London as I can, then write about them. THE HIDDEN HISTORIES OF THE CAPITAL'S CONVENIENCES. Thursday, 30 July 2009. Canary Wharf, E14. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). London's public toilets rank amongst the most truly iconic and recognisable landmarks of the capital but few people are aware of the vitally important role that they have played in the history of the city or the immeasurable effect they have had on almost every aspect of London life, including politics, crime, finance and the arts. The Robin Askwith movie review blog. My reviews of movies made by Robin Askwith, British actor. Friday, June 4, 2010. Beryl’s Lot (season 1, episode 1, “Getting Up”) – 1973. I also loved his sarcastic attitude when kindly Beryl allows a friend to temporarily stay with them after she gets thrown out of her hotel room for nonpayment. Ah, that familiar pissed-off scowl, so reminiscent of Horror Hospital…. It’s a good show. I only have 6 episodes of it, I hope I can find more. View my complete profile.

The Robin Askwith movie review blog. My reviews of movies made by Robin Askwith, British actor. Friday, November 19, 2010. This was a popular sitcom in Britain in the late 60s/early 70s. Robin is listed as only having appeared in one episode from 1971. I found someone on an online marketplace selling bootleg copies of the entire series PLUS a spinoff movie. Did I really want to puchase all that for one small glimpse of Robin playing some minor character? 8220;A” may be the smart group? But looks much, mu...

The Robin Askwith movie review blog. My reviews of movies made by Robin Askwith, British actor. Friday, July 2, 2010. Bless This House – 1973. This is the same year Robin makes “Horror Hospital” so he looks exactly like that in this movie, same hairstyle, same sideburns. He goes through quite a few wardrobe changes and wears some of the grooviest, early 70s fashion I’ve ever seen him in! I highly recommend this one - this is definitely a Robin movie you can watch with the kids! Z-Cars – 1968.

Award Winning Kitchen Design by Paul Herrold. Form follows function - that has been misunderstood. Form and function should be one, joined in a spiritual union. Kitchen design is not just about putting as many cabinets into a room as possible, rather, it is about understanding which cabinets will work best within the given space. Unfortunately, most kitchens are not. When designing a kitchen or any room of the house, the solution needs to. Doug M. (Addison, IL). We absolutely love our kitchen! Marcia S&#...
