The Adventures of a Traveling OB Nurse. Monday, June 15, 2009. Ahhhhh, nothing like a spontaneous, carefree weekend getaway! Saturday we went to Jacksonville and caught their parade celebrating Oregon's 150th birthday. Great parade, streets lined with people who all knew each other, complete with a HILARIOUS outhouse race. Wednesday, February 1, 2012. New York Trip Day 2. Friday was a very busy day. We took the train from Hicksville. And headed into the city. Lots of time spent walking around. Busy traffic, busy people. Narrow one way streets. It was rainy,. We went to the Discovery Times Square Museum. They have the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit. Ben was done in about 30 minutes. I took 3 hours. What a patient husband I have. We grabbed a quick bite to eat at Junior's. Ben had some New York Cheesecake. The music was fantastic.
