Keeping You Updated On My Travels And Experiances On The Continent Of Africa. Monday, July 12, 2010. A Reflection From Greener Pastures. Time in Africa has an interesting way of sneaking away from you,. The pace is slow but there never seems to be enough hours in the day,. Having been in Uganda a week now, it's as if I never left,. With the exception of the jubilant welcome I received from the children and fast friends, life in Uganda has carried on much as I left it,. Safety is not an issue. 500 UGS is ...

Brents African Adventures: And Away We Go!
http://brentgoestoafrica.blogspot.com/2011/06/and-away-we-go.html
Keeping You Updated On My Travels And Experiances On The Continent Of Africa. Wednesday, June 1, 2011. And Away We Go! After blowing the dust of my travel gear, I find myself sitting in YVR International Departures once again, with the rolling green hills of Uganda just 2 short (relatively speaking of course) flights away. I can never fully express how I feel going back, but it seems I always try. This time it feels a bit like heading home again. So it's with this final boarding call that I leave you.

http://jeffshan.blogspot.com/2015/02/back-to-school-in-kibaale.html
Tuesday, February 3, 2015. Back to School in Kibaale! Monday was the first day of the 2015 school year in Kibaale, it was so great to see all the kids on campus again! It's especially exciting for our Nursery students, their very first day of school! The day began in Primary with an assembly to welcome the students back and a prayer for the coming year. These ridiculously cute Nursery students will all be on the website for sponsorship very soon! I guess they are too cool for bubbles and soccer!

Dyck's Hot Spot: Kibaale Babies
http://jeffshan.blogspot.com/2015/02/kibaale-babies.html
Thursday, February 5, 2015. It has been a great first week of school in Kibaale, there is nothing like the sounds of 1,050 students on campus every day! In one of our favourite corners of the property is the Kibaale Daycare, our staff love to be able to have their kids so close by when they are at work. It is also a great place for our family or volunteers to cuddle babies whenever we want! Has captured their interest with a new book! We are so thankful for amazing staff who take great care of the babies!

Keeping You Updated On My Travels And Experiances On The Continent Of Africa. Monday, July 5, 2010. Home Away From Home. One step off the plane and already it feels like home,. The familiar smell lingering in the humid air,. The accents of the man at customs,. I missed this,. It’s 4am now and we need a place to stay for a few hours before we’re whisked off to the 10 acres and 52 smiling children,. A cheap room for a couple hours, easy,. It’s good to see the Dickie’s again,. I’m home,. Sites Worth A Peek.

Keeping You Updated On My Travels And Experiances On The Continent Of Africa. Sunday, November 16, 2008. While the timing is wrong, the conviction remains. I had to write this. Thrust into a life a fear,. A time when turmoil and pain are the only constants,. Where convictions are forgotten and freedom fades. The shouts of propganda and the threat to those who do not conform,. The sound of a gunshot ringing out,. It's the story of millions,. The story of injustice and corruption,. Lives of complacency,.

Brents African Adventures: A Warm And Familiar Welcome
http://brentgoestoafrica.blogspot.com/2011/06/warm-and-familiar-welcome.html
Keeping You Updated On My Travels And Experiances On The Continent Of Africa. Thursday, June 23, 2011. A Warm And Familiar Welcome. The smells of Uganda,. They never seem to change, even from my first trip (5 years ago) to now, it's etched in my memory and it always greets me right off the plane. Long before the smiles of the children, or the embrace of a friend and pastor, the smell is there, and it's wonderful. The drive from Entebbe is one that is relatively timeless as well,. They're excited to show ...
