Friday, May 28, 2010. Had dinner last night with 6 other volunteers who are working in a local hospital. They are all pre'med students from Virginia. Cool today, but no rain. Saturday, May 29, 2010. Still having problems uploading photos.but we are taking them! Tomorrow we will take an all day tour via bus into the countryside to see several famous Peruvian sites. Last night took our house mom to dinner and there were live singers-dancers doing traditional Peruvian music. Beautiful! It is warmer today.yesterday was quite cool. Monday, June 7, 2010. We arrived home safely with some jet lag.or should I say hike lag? The inca trail was an awesome experience altho brutal is the word that comes to mind - yikes! We survived and are putting photos together. Best memories for me are many special moments with Ty and Karen, spending time with the program kids, and our new special friend Maria Elena who shared her home with us. The Trip Peru 2010. Three generations travel to Peru! Monday, December 28, 2009. Planning has begun for Peru 2010! We just booked our tickets this weekend. On May 22, the three of us - Tyler, Karen, and Ralene will depart for Cuzco, Peru. We will spend a week volunteering at an orphanage for girls and then will take a 4-day trek on the Inca Trail. Join us as we plan for our trip and as three generations of women take the journey from Southern California to the heights of Machu Picchu.
