Joy and Mayhem: May 2012
http://phillyfivebyshannon.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 29, 2012. I think God has a HUGE sense of humor! 160; As a child I was the shy, non-verbal type. I pretty much tried to blend in with the scenery. Never liked crowds and desperately tried to never make any kind of eye contact with anyone! 160; My sister on the other hand, was (and still is! The complete opposite – center of attention, highly verbal, and LOVED meeting new people! So, why do I think God has a sense of humor? 160; Because three of my four kids are just like her! 160; And real...
Joy and Mayhem: Backyard Oasis
http://phillyfivebyshannon.blogspot.com/2012/06/backyard-oasis.html
Saturday, June 30, 2012. We live in the city – have for the last 18 years (this week! 160; When my husband and I first got married we lived in the second house that was on my in-laws 30 acre farm. I thought I had moved to heaven! 160; All my life I had lived in a two bedroom apartment – no land to plant anything in, no place to walk safely, constant people all the time! 160; Moving to the country was AMAZING and I was THRILLED – for eight months! 160; That’s a LONG internship! 160; The kitchen was HUGE!
Joy and Mayhem: August 2011
http://phillyfivebyshannon.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, August 20, 2011. Schultz Family Christmas–in August! I have been going to the Schultz Family Christmas since before I was a legal Schultz! 160; I was a little worried as we have been having terrible storms – but God was good and provided a beautiful breeze and blue skies! 160; It was great to see much of the family, but still missed seeing those that just live too far away to make it in! Our newest craze – Qwirkle! 160; Such a fun family game! Do you see the look I’m getting? 160; I so love it ...
Joy and Mayhem: September 2011
http://phillyfivebyshannon.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 20, 2011. Ocean City, NJ. After our whirlwind trip to Massachusetts we drove home, for all of twenty minutes to gather the bikes and beach stuff, and headed on to Ocean City, NJ. We left MA at 3:15 pm and arrived in OC, NJ at 10:30pm! And is now in remission! Was excited to stick her feet in the sand. Monday we awoke to beautiful blue skies – but WINDY! 160; We went out for a morning bike ride – 5 miles! 160; He was totally asleep while I dressed him! Andy’s parents came down Mo...
Joy and Mayhem: Cornerstone Block Party 2012
http://phillyfivebyshannon.blogspot.com/2012/06/cornerstone-block-party-2012.html
Sunday, June 10, 2012. Cornerstone Block Party 2012. Today was our church’s 8th annual block party! 160; It truly is an amazing event to pull off! 160; We close a main thoroughfare in our neighborhood – we have to obtain a block party permit and it is ALWAYS a huge answer to prayer when we are granted one – they aren’t too keen on closing a main street because buses have to be rerouted! 160; But God has been incredible in granting us one every year! 160; There is face painting,. Music and puppets,.

Cornerstone Connection: Too Close to Home
http://cccconnection.blogspot.com/2013/04/too-close-to-home.html
Tuesday, April 9, 2013. Too Close to Home. Updated AGAIN the detective investigating the case just called me to get my story and let me know that the man is indeed alive. It is really strange because word on the street is that he died and they even have a vigil set up down the street that clearly says RIP. Either people are totally clueless or covering it up for some reason. It also seems clear that they all know who did it but nobody will talk. So, the crime continues and continues. Day to Day Life.

Cornerstone Connection: Our Story
http://cccconnection.blogspot.com/p/our-story.html
We often get asked how we ended up in Philly, as you can imagine the answer is not a simple one. The Lord has led us on a journey, His journey for us. I will take you back to the spring of 2003. We now jump to August 2003. I wanted to go back to Jamaica, where we had been on our 1st mission trip. We did not back out, despite our disappointment, and plans began for our trip to an inner-city neighborhood in Philly. To be honest, I was terrified. September 6, 2003. Sept 10, 2003. Frank quit his job with McG...

Frank is looking for a group of prayer warriors to receive more private and detailed prayer requests on a regular basis. Currently these updates come via a private Facebook group and individual emails and phone calls. This is not a form of updates. It is specifically for people who have the gift of praying and would like to pray more specifically for us and the community we serve. If you are interested in praying specifically, and regularly for our ministry, please email Frank. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Cornerstone Connection: Daily Life
http://cccconnection.blogspot.com/p/what-we-do.html
Daily life is never dull around here. I try to keep some kind of structure to my days so sanity will remain. As director of our recovery ministry a large majority of each day consists of discipling, counseling, and helping those who are struggling in the areas of addictions. That are focused solely on the sin of addiction. Two mornings of the week I lead a morning prayer time. Is still my responsibility. I work closely with Pastor Joe to teach and train our people how to work. Being on the Cornerstone te...

Joy and Mayhem
Monday, October 8, 2012. Daniel and Drew’s Day! Andy is off on his annual God Squad retreat and now that the older two are teenagers – they are off with him. That leaves me with the two younger boys. Since yesterday was rainy and cold we just hung out at home. We started our day by eating breakfast at Chick-fil-a! 160; It’s Daniel’s favorite place to eat breakfast and I love it because there is usually NO ONE there! 160; I wasn’t wrong! Daniel loved his time there as well and asked a zillion questions!
