Philosophun: Genesis: We've Fallen and We Can't Get Up! (Part 3)
http://philosophun.blogspot.com/2010/10/genesis-3-fall-of-man.html
Wednesday, October 27, 2010. Genesis: We've Fallen and We Can't Get Up! Caution: Don't Listen to Woman. So, now we are approaching the infamous “Fall of Man” story, which will be the final part of the Genesis creation story that I'll cover under the Cosmology section. I consider this the final part because up until The Fall. When you needed it? I think Dr. Drew would have been a better person to talk to then God in this case.). And the man and his wife were both naked and were not ashamed.”. This line is...
Philosophun: Genesis: Moses' wacky senile tale (Part 1)
http://philosophun.blogspot.com/2010/09/genesis-moses-wacky-senile-tale-part-1.html
Monday, September 6, 2010. Genesis: Moses' wacky senile tale (Part 1). Ever listen to your grandfather tell a story but not quite understand all of it because it was- well, incomprehensible? You would listen, smile, and nod, of course, giving him the benefit of the doubt since his senility was ever increasing as he aged and neared his death. But as you listened on, you realized that what Gramps said two minutes ago in the story, he must have forgotten, because the facts don't add up. Day 2: "Let there be...
Philosophun: To be enlightened or stay human? That is the question.
http://philosophun.blogspot.com/2010/09/to-be-enlightened-or-stay-human-that-is_05.html
Sunday, September 5, 2010. To be enlightened or stay human? That is the question. It's always been a struggle with me to figure out this conundrum of a problem. And here lies the problem. For if we accomplish this, we rise above humanity. We become something greater and bigger. By doing this do we sever our understanding and sympathy with normal people? Perfectly wise and content. While it might sound nice at first glance, we humans thrive off of drama and the ups and downs of life. Is this fair to do?

Philosophun: Genesis: The first man and women? (Part 2)
http://philosophun.blogspot.com/2010/09/genesis-2-love-triangle.html
Tuesday, September 7, 2010. Genesis: The first man and women? If you haven't read part one yet, go back. God chillin' like a villain.or, erm, perhaps the opposite, eh? Then the story takes a step back and explains the creation of man in more detail. Okay, now we're back on the sixth day. I know what you're thinking. Didn't god create vegetation back in Day 3? Indeed, Grandpa Moses is at it again. (It brings new meaning to the Singing in the Rain. Sigh*But I guess it wouldn't be temptation then. So al...

A Moment of Honest Reflection: September 2010
http://statusquotokyo.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
A Moment of Honest Reflection. Looking deep into one's self in hopes of finding one's self. Thursday, September 30, 2010. Just a little free writing. Was reading a short story by J.D. Salinger and felt a little inspired. Hope you enjoy it. That’s all Henry could really call it; a chance encounter that resulted in a love unknown to him prior. Of course, just because it was love did not mean that it was fate or at all similar to the innocent openings of many a dime store novel. Youthful, sweet, and at a pi...

A Moment of Honest Reflection. Looking deep into one's self in hopes of finding one's self. Monday, October 11, 2010. Okonomiyaki, "Music," and The Golden Classroom! It was a great way to cheer me up since I had just realized that I had been chasing a ghost for an entire month. Since it was parent ops I was given the opportunity to meet the parents briefly along with the siblings. I had a lot of fun, to say the least. All in all, it was a great classroom. After the week had finished I went out to dinner ...

A Moment of Honest Reflection. Looking deep into one's self in hopes of finding one's self. Saturday, August 28, 2010. That Which Blossoms from a Queezy Stomach. The only reason I'm a writing right now is because I can't sleep due to an upset stomach (mostly likely brought on by the soda and bag of chips I ate). It just seems that while I'm here in this country, nothing and no one can touch me or harm me in any way. Friday, August 27, 2010. Today, what I really want to talk about is something that has be...

A Moment of Honest Reflection. Looking deep into one's self in hopes of finding one's self. Sunday, October 3, 2010. Tales of a Boring Work Day. Got bored during work today and started having fun with philosophy and word play. They would be adequately answered if I were cease my script at this point, but unfortunately for them, my prose does not come to a halt so soon. I make mention of these frequent mortal turbulence for the purpose of asking a single, yet all be it slightly ambiguous, question:. Of co...

A Moment of Honest Reflection. Looking deep into one's self in hopes of finding one's self. Friday, October 8, 2010. I just don't seem to fit right. I'm not talking about fitting in with Americans or with Japanese. I'm focusing on humanity as a whole with this statement. By the way, if you are wondering. No, nothing awful has happened. I've just had a lot of downtime). Some may argue that it is the human experience and that there is nothing strange about this. But I would disagree. I would say th...I jus...

A Moment of Honest Reflection. Looking deep into one's self in hopes of finding one's self. Saturday, October 23, 2010. There is a silver lining to all my travels though. I have had to opportunity to finally sleep (cue drum roll) in a capsule hotel! 160; That’s right, my bucket list of “must do’s” for Japan has had an item marked off. Now all that is left is:. Thursday, December 22, 2011. The Philosophy of the Bhagavad-Gita. Posted at: 9:36 AM. The Bhagavad-Gita is a part of the Mahabharat, which is attributed to Vyasa. It is regarded as one of the most sacred books of the Hindus. It is more a book on ethics than one on metaphysics. Even as a treatise on ethics it is not a compact philosophical work. It is an inspired poetical work with a philosophical theme. It is rightly called the Song Divine. There are two purusas. An aspirant should dedicate all his actio...

Like philosophy, but without the intense scientific rigour. Wednesday, 25 September 2013. Evolved instincts, hyperstimulation and memes. As social websites become more popular, a growing concern amongst many users is the prevalence of internet memes. Memes can be fun and amusing, and can help foster a sense of community. The question is, why. Are internet memes frequently the lowest common denominator? I've been thinking about this for some time, and my conclusion is that it's our tribal instincts - just...

philosophun – I Kant imagine a better name for this blog…
I Kant imagine a better name for this blog…. Me, Myself and I. Romantic Love for the Existentialist. Existentialists are a finicky bunch. Arguably, the most important–albeit common–view held by existentialists is that humans create their own meaning in an inherently meaningless universe. We do this via our actions on, and our interpretations of, ‘the outside’. So, if there is no promise of heaven, hell, or any other afterlife, what is there left when we die? Where do we go? What becomes of us? I’m ...

During a job interview, interviewers often ask standardized questions that are designed to assess prospective candidates on behavioral, motivational, and skill basis. For example, motivational questions are intended to assess candidates drive to succeed. Behavioral questions are intended to assess candidates character and their ability to work with a team. Finally, if necessary, candidates are asked technical questions that help the interviewer measure their skills and expertise. To address this shortcom...

Wednesday, 27 January 2016. I am of great important and this blog makes the universe expand at an accelerated rate. As we enter upon the great fields of The Internet and decide to write one's thoughts, ideas and get as self centered as one possible can bother while giving away most of your life story away, who do we truly write for? The sentence above is made intentionally. Hard to read with nested parentheses. If I would write these blog posts on a physical paper in a booklet that I kept in a drawer, wo...
