Shadow of Eden Farm: House Painting
http://redbud211.blogspot.com/2015/06/house-painting.html
Shadow of Eden Farm. Tuesday, June 23, 2015. Little by little, we are gradually making our way around the house, painting it (by the time we make it all the way around, it will be time to begin again, I'm sure! The photo below is of a small area we applied primer to this week - such a difference! On the left side, we haven't yet finished prepping that area - although we have finished the window). Shadow of Eden Farm: January 2012
http://redbud211.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Shadow of Eden Farm. Wednesday, January 4, 2012. The puppy we acquired last spring. Titan, is now an all-grown-up handsome male dog. Hopefully, he and our female, Lilly, will soon be blessing us with a litter of livestock guardian pups. Gestation time is around 63 days, they say. That is a bit earlier in spring than we were hoping, but she went into heat earlier than I had planned. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. I have two other children:. Shadow of Eden Farm: Gooseberries
http://redbud211.blogspot.com/2010/06/gooseberries.html
Shadow of Eden Farm. Thursday, June 17, 2010. It is June. That means gooseberry picking time! We have both gooseberries and currants. Growing on the farm (thanks to my English-heritage grandmother who planted them years ago and allowed them to spread through the wooded areas). So every June the fruits begin to ripen, and it is a race to get them before the birds. The gooseberries bloom with white flowers, the currant blossoms are bright yellow and smell very spicy. After nightfall, Steven sat in the livi...

Shadow of Eden Farm. Thursday, July 9, 2015. Look what hatched out this week! She's very protective. I had a cute little video of her with the ducklings but I haven't been able to upload it from my phone to here. We also have about 20 chicks from two hens that recently hatched, and of course the lamb twins. Still waiting on more baby goat kids to arrive any day. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Shadow of Eden Farm: And Even More Pears
http://redbud211.blogspot.com/2008/09/and-even-more-pears.html
Shadow of Eden Farm. Wednesday, September 10, 2008. And Even More Pears. Yes, we are still picking them up daily. I need to get busy canning. This is Steven holding one evening's crop. Got the idea this weekend to maybe take some of the pear sauce we made in the slow cooker, and make a "cobbler" or "crisp" dessert dish with it. Plan to try that this week. This is also Kansas State Fair week. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. I have two other children:. Blogs You Should Read.

Shadow of Eden Farm: October 2011
http://redbud211.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Shadow of Eden Farm. Thursday, October 27, 2011. Okay, so it has been nearly three months since I blogged. I guess I'm not a very avid blogger. Plus, it has been a hard summer, and there isn't much "good news" to blog about when everything is drying up and withering away. We are hoping for a better 'next year'. I only like to share good news, when I can. So now we are into autumn and getting ready for oncoming winter. As for the tomatoes - the variety "OSU Blue" is turning out quite interesting. It i...
