March 17, 2015. Happy St. Patrick's Day! Wings full taking care of her chicks. They are all a Buff Oprington/Ameraucana mix (the eggs were her choosing), and I think they are so pretty. They will most likely lay green eggs when they mature. I think this picture sums up motherhood pretty well. Fat, happy, squeaking bunnies. And it was pretty hilarious to watch. Ramsey is back in his cage for a little while to give the does a break and let their kits get a little older before he will go back in the colony. In other news, tax season is over! January 3, 2015. Plant a larger variety of vegetables, utilizing the space more efficiently. Experiment with raised rows and straw/leaf mulch. Remove the rest of the invasive Mimosa trees from our yard. Perhaps a green house? For the farm animals:. Buy one more Champagne d'Argent doe. Raise, sell and/or process my first litter of Champagne d'Argent rabbits. Breed them with the Easter Eggers to get Olive Eggers (and olive eggs! Build a firewood shed. Finish repainting the barn. Build a new well house.

February 24, 2015. We finally got some snow! Fortunately, I was off work today and was able to take Hazel out to play in it.
