Tri Activities: January 2011
http://triactivites.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Triathlon, training, gear and other random stuff. Monday, January 31, 2011. Is coming to Chicago! They're predicting up to a record 2 feet of snow tomorrow, which can only mean one thing: snow day! More likely than not they'll shut down our office in downtown, which means that I'll have some time to catch up on school work and some training. Maybe I should have brought those snowshoes back with me from Seattle. I could have gotten in a good workout just by walking around the block! 1) Lose weight -.

Tri Activities: May 2010
http://triactivites.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Triathlon, training, gear and other random stuff. Saturday, May 29, 2010. New saddle: ISM Adamo Racing. After several failed adjustments to the position of my Cobb V-Flow saddle I have decided to switch it up and try out a new saddle. The V-Flow was a lot better than my last saddle but I wasn't 100% satisfied with the overall comfort it provided me. Next up, the ISM Adamo Racing saddle. Adam Racing saddle product description. Thursday, May 27, 2010. Wednesday, May 26, 2010. First race of the 2010 season!

Tri Activities: Rev3 tattoo
http://triactivites.blogspot.com/2011/01/rev3-tattoo.html
Triathlon, training, gear and other random stuff. Friday, January 14, 2011. Touching back on my Rev3 blog post. From last month, have you noticed these Rev3 ads popping up in triathlon magazines? It's a pretty good take on the "M-dot" tattoo phenomenon, one of the more interesting aspects of our sport. What other sport and brand has this kind of consumer loyalty and engagement, that participants are willing to brand themselves with a corporate tattoo as a symbol of accomplishment? Tri Activities: Back, sort of
http://triactivites.blogspot.com/2011/02/back-sort-of.html
Triathlon, training, gear and other random stuff. Monday, February 28, 2011. Back, sort of. I'm back, sort of. It's ironic that my last post was about training setbacks and having to miss long periods of training considering that's what I have been going through this month. I've had to miss several weeks of training due to sickness, work, school, and then a back injury. That's it for now, more to come soon! I'll try not to let a whole month go by without posting next time. View my complete profile. Rick ...

Tri Activities: August 2010
http://triactivites.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Triathlon, training, gear and other random stuff. Tuesday, August 31, 2010. Chicago Triathlon post-race analysis. I’ll take it I guess. On the bike, last year I was in the top 32% (not bad), this year I was in the top 15%! Sweet, that’s a big improvement on the bike compared to the overall field. Alright, enough excuses on the run :). Here’s something inexcusable… 3:52 in T1 and 3:10 in T2… jeez, was I taking a nap in there? Chicago Triathlon race report. A new Olympic tri swim PR for me! I got caught be...

Cobb Cycling: Excellent customer service. I just wanted to quickly post about how awesome the customer service is at Cobb Cycling. But that was not the case. I called Cobb Cycling, Ginger Cobb(! Picked up the phone, we chatted about the V-Flow saddle and my many adjustment attempts, and I let her know that I had decided to ...

Tri Activities: October 2010
http://triactivites.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Triathlon, training, gear and other random stuff. Thursday, October 28, 2010. What I'm Reading: Bike edition Pt. 2. More bike service and app news! The first one is called Capital Bikeshare. And is based around the Washington DC area. The service uses a technology called BIXI that allows riders to access the bikes via a special key card. It seems to be pretty low hassle and affordable. Definitely one to check out this weekend for everyone headed to DC for the Rally to Restore Sanity. That lets you use yo...
