Hydro active challenge to see off CF

I am 23 and have Cystic Fibrosis. A few years ago I reached the end stages of this disease and required a double lung transplant to save my life. At the beginning of this year, I was lucky enough to undergo this huge operation. This September the wonderful team of pink and sparkly people will reunite to run/walk/crawl their way around a 5 kilometer course to raise money for the CF Trust. And this year I shall be walking with them.

Hydro active challenge to see off CF. Wednesday, July 12, 2006. Long time no post! Ooops, sorry for the huge lack of posting on this blog, hopefully those who follow my. Will know that it is because I have been out and about doing an awful lot of living, so for good reasons! My physio came yesterday and checked my lung function and oxygen saturations, both of which are fine and stable. I am building up again on the walking front, and itching to get back to my good old wanders down the road. The big day 06.

Hydro active challenge to see off CF. Tuesday, July 24, 2007. FEV1: 2.16 FVC 2.65. Treadmill: 16mins at 5km/h. Treadmill on high gradient (hill training) 5mins. Cross Trainer: 5 mins. After naughty NAUGHTY slacking I have been back at the gym, hurrah!
