Windy Possibilities: NXNA Garden Tour
http://windypossibilities.blogspot.com/2015/05/nxna-garden-tour.html
Anything is possible in triathlon and in life. Wednesday, May 6, 2015. The Garden Tour was a BIG success! I had 75 people come by to look at my garden and they all seemed to love my native Texas garden. I got to give advice about plant selection, soil conditions, and bed preparation to lots of people. People appreciated that I had labeled my plants with both common and scientific names. Mealy blue sage Salvia farinacea. I even got to explain the difference between my 3 species of Echinacea to some people!

The Rule in Shelley's Case. Observations and the occasional provocation of an urban runner. Like the Rule, probably best forgotten. Tuesday, August 25, 2009. Throw your head back. For that time, my world was reduced to just the crunch-crunch of my feet on the grass, bayou scrubbrush. Tinged violet-gray by the dimming light, and a mauve sunset deepening into a dark, glittering skyline. And all was right within it. That something so biomechanically. And more importantly, why? Things I learned in third grade.

The Rule in Shelley's Case: Balance
http://inshelleyscase.blogspot.com/2009/08/balance.html
The Rule in Shelley's Case. Observations and the occasional provocation of an urban runner. Like the Rule, probably best forgotten. Thursday, August 20, 2009. Advocating a "run more, think less" approach to training. Part is oddball personal traits: I don't like clunky armbands. Heart rate chest straps are itchy. Most high-tech watch faces overwhelm my wrist. The volume or ph or salt content or something about my sweat tends to induce seizures in electronics. Part is reactionary: there is sheer joy in es...
