House of South: Viva Espana!
http://houseofsouth.blogspot.com/2010/11/viva-espana.html
Monday, November 22, 2010. John and I traveled to Spain in September 2009, it was a second Honeymoon for us! We visited all of the old mission haunts in and around Madrid , saw some friends and traveled to Valencia to the beach. It was 10 days of bliss, mostly! Grandma and Grandpa Alaska were kind enough to come and take care of the kids- I think they needed a vacation after ours! We were grateful they were willing. I won't bore you with all of the pictures but here are some of the highlights!

Sunday, September 6, 2009. C4 was "helping" me make cookies one day. As he was grabbing handfuls of flour and dropping it everywhere, he kept saying "No, no mommy" Direct translation, "Snow, snow mommy! Say cheese with a mouthful of cookie dough! I think his siblings thought it was funny to put this Rooster sticker on his head one day. The funny thing is that he wore it all day, through his nap and all! Cambria the Patrol Woman. Way to go Mia! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Monday, November 22, 2010. Dad and his helper. This is where we changed the old configuration the most. We added these 12" cabinets to give us some more storage space. Well worth the effort we went through to get here! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Peter, Peter Pumpkin Eater. Wolf Trap Run for the Arts. Burke Ward Preparedness blog.

House of South: November 2010

Monday, November 22, 2010. I am working on updating our blog after months of silence, more posts to come! John's parents requested that we do an act of service as our gift to them for Christmas in 2009. Our family decided to pick up trash on one of the trails behind our house. I think we chose the coldest day in November to do it, but the kids had a ball and we made a difference. Carter is our soccer fan and really enjoys playing. We love it because he burns off some of his boy energy on the field! This ...

House of South: January 2009

Thursday, January 29, 2009. Snow, Sleet, Ice Day. We finally had some snow! The first of the season actually. It turned to sleet and then ice. There was a nice thick layer of ice on the cars, roads and everywhere else! I'm not sure if these pictures do it justice, but it looked like my car was a big maroon popsicle. Kind of fun to clean off if you like that kind of thing! Of course the kids had a ball playing in the snow. They played so much that both boys were crying because they were so cold! Labels: O...

House of South: April 2009
http://houseofsouth.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 15, 2009. The kids got way too much candy for Easter, but they don't look too upset about it! We woke them up early so they could find their baskets the Easter Bunny had hidden in the house, then they had to find all of the eggs hidden around the house too! They had fun and we had fun watching them, especially C4 who was way excited when he figured out there was candy in the eggs. He learned how to say "EGG" this weekend, wonder why? The kids in the one of the guard's quarters. The kids ...
