Friday, November 21, 2014. School Library Journal Best Books 2014. In 2014, more than 250 titles received an SLJ star; after much passionate discussion, the following titles were selected by the review editors as the very best of the best. These 70 books distinguish themselves with excellence in writing, art, design, storytelling, originality, and appeal. Boomer 2.0: Library Wikis
http://boomer20.blogspot.com/2009/01/library-wikis.html
Tuesday, January 27, 2009. Enjoyed reviewing the library wikis - my favorite one is MPIC wiki. By the Memphis Public Library. It provides guidelines for staff input, sandbox area for staff to learn how to use a wiki, tips on using online catalog, and a lot of useful information. Once I complete the 23 things, my first project is to create a wiki for Technical Services and develop a wiki on Millennium along with the Digital Services team in the future. Saturday, January 31, 2009. Spent a lot of time last night looking at podcast directories and downloaded NPR podcasts on. Books and classical music and some of their radio programs - Fresh Air, All Things Considered and more. I also tried the other podcast directories listed in the 23 things but did not like their layout and formats. Did a google search and found Podcast.com. Like the format and quality of podcasts. Did you know that AALS has podcasts. Labels: Alamo Area Library System.
