Details of the New Super Poppy from America. They are an F4 Perennial Hybrid that has taken over 30 years to develop. What’s so special about them? Their flowers last longer, and they flower over a much longer season, mature plants will give a second and third flush of flowers from late May to September, or maybe October depending on the season, dead head them as soon as the flowers drop. It’ stunning far better than the picture, with large full mop heads of white flowers with an inky blue stain to the throats of each flowerlet. All, stately with perfect upright stems making an impact in any garden. The flower heads are massive with deep, deep blue purple flowers. This is a photo of a young plant of ‘Sapphire Cascade’ showing the length of the flowerlets which are 1.5 inches long. It was bred by Sandy Worth of Water Meadow Nursery. PBR PP pending.
