Five Pound Candy: April 2010
http://fivepoundcandy.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Friday, April 30, 2010. Dog in the pea patch! With pack in hand, I sat down and seriously studied the directions, and then set to work planting my first seeds. I waited several weeks (you plant seeds in February, when the ground is still cold), but finally little sprouts came up, and I had several weeks of the sweetest bounty of peas I ever tasted! So, what are you planning for your garden this year? Have you planted anything yet? Saturday, April 24, 2010. Eggs: poached with crackers. 8226; 7 oz. can...

Saturday, May 29, 2010. It tasted really good! So, here is the question of the week. What is the best pizza topping combo you've ever discovered? Your answer might give me inspiration for my next polenta pizza adventure. Friday, May 21, 2010. Actually, that program went a long way to abolish all sorts of food taboos I had. For example, I can also eat moderate amounts of olive oil and butter (yes butter! With my food, without worrying about gaining weight or losing control. Towards the end of the three we...

Five Pound Candy: Almond Butter Chard
http://fivepoundcandy.blogspot.com/2010/05/almond-butter-chard.html
Friday, May 21, 2010. I’m still don’t know what made me even try something like this. In the past, whenever someone mentioned “elimination diet” I would shut down like a steel trap. Because of certain foods I was eating at the time, I was craving food all the time and couldn’t imagine having to control myself on a diet of only a few foods. Actually, that program went a long way to abolish all sorts of food taboos I had. For example, I can also eat moderate amounts of olive oil and butter (yes butter!

Five Pound Candy: My Bio
http://fivepoundcandy.blogspot.com/p/about-me.html
One might think it odd that, by the time I reached my early 30's, I knew next to nothing about cooking. I had watched Rachael Ray’s. Cooking shows and could read a recipe, but I didn’t know how to cook from scratch, based on my own sense of taste. Then, about 4 years ago, I took some classes in whole foods cookery, at Bastyr University. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Breitenbush Cookbook, by the Breitenbush Community. Five Pound Candy: D-lightful Sunshine
http://fivepoundcandy.blogspot.com/2010/05/d-lightful-sunshine.html
Friday, May 14, 2010. Recently, we’ve been treated to sunnier, warmer weather these past several days, in Seattle. When the sun comes out, the sun-deprived suddenly perk up like sunflowers! Sometimes it makes me long to move back over the mountains to the high desert, where I grew up, because I appreciate the sun more now that I don’t have it as much. But I’m sure if I moved back I would quickly regret it as my fair skin sizzled to a burnt crust. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). How to Find Real Food.

Five Pound Candy: That's good sauce!
http://fivepoundcandy.blogspot.com/2010/04/thats-good-sauce.html
Sunday, April 18, 2010. I found a recipe online that most closely resembles the ingredients in the canned salsa, at Big Oven. I changed it slightly, cutting out the garlic and halving the recipe to end up with just about the right amount needed for Mom’s salsa recipe. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Mom’s salsa - revised. 8226; 1.5 c Water. 8226; 1 ¼ tsp Salt. 8226; 2 Fresh serrano chile peppers. 8226; ½ lb Tomatillos; husks removed. 8226; 1/4 c Fresh cilantro; (fresh. May 20, 2010 at 11:39 AM.

Five Pound Candy: Polenta Pizza
http://fivepoundcandy.blogspot.com/2010/05/polenta-pizza.html
Saturday, May 29, 2010. It tasted really good! So, here is the question of the week. What is the best pizza topping combo you've ever discovered? Your answer might give me inspiration for my next polenta pizza adventure. May 29, 2010 at 2:28 PM. That sounds very good. As for favorite toppings, we favor Canadian Bacon and Pineapple chunks. And NO CRUST at all. Very satisfying. May 29, 2010 at 8:45 PM. I second the pineapple and canadian bacon. Nothing better than sweet and savory together!
