Mighe Klochwüd: October 2009
http://michaellockwood.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Friday, October 16, 2009. First post of the new semester! Well I haven't produced much this semester so far, but here's what I've done that's somewhat interesting. All this work is from a class called Digital Life taught by Cliff Nielsen. The class is basically a life painting class with a computer and wacom tablet. It's actually purdy fun! Week 2 was another still life and I didn't get any further than the previous week! This was another 10 minute pose. Week 5 again, hour long pose.

Mighe Klochwüd: Found Some Stuffs
http://michaellockwood.blogspot.com/2012/08/found-some-stuffs.html
Tuesday, August 14, 2012. So I was going through some old papers and found my mastercopies in gouache! They're small, about 3 inches wide. I know it's not original work, but all the work I've been doing lately I can't show anybody. But maybe you can appreciate my copies of some Thomas Moran, Frank Serrano, and Nathan Fowkes. Really awesome studies, makes me wish I spent more time using traditional media. August 14, 2012 at 7:16 PM. September 23, 2012 at 12:34 AM. Nice painting studies, Mike Lockwood!

Mighe Klochwüd: Color & Story
http://michaellockwood.blogspot.com/2011/08/color-story.html
Monday, August 22, 2011. So now for the stuff I'm a little more proud of. All these images were done for a class called Color and Story. There were plenty of exercises to explore light and its effect on our perception of color, palette choices, contrasts of color, and mood and such. This was a story told in three sequential panels at three different times of the day. Yes, I'm sure you've seen Miyazaki's adaptation, but we read the book! And Sophie's first encounter with the Witch of the Waste! Some Sprin...

Mighe Klochwüd: Summer Landscapes
http://michaellockwood.blogspot.com/2011/08/summer-landscapes.html
Monday, August 22, 2011. Here are some landscape paintings I did for a class called Digital Landscape. We'd start painting them in gouache on location then go back to the labs and tweak/finish 'em. I wish I put more architectural elements in these. Anyhoo. Me rikey your prant-rife! November 21, 2011 at 7:58 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Los Angeles, CA, United States. Mighe Klochwüd: January 2009
http://michaellockwood.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, January 6, 2009. Yeah, we later colored on top of this monochromatic study. I was actually stoked about doing mastercopies of some of my favorite artists: Wyeth, Rockwell, Goya, and Bouguereau. Life study of someone else doing homework at Art Center. Go Brianna! A still life we had to set up ourselves. I think I spent around 10-12 hours on this and was probably the most successful painting I did during the term. OOOOO, one of the few models we had to paint from during an entire class period.
