Poatina offers the nature lover a myriad of scenic bush walks, mountain bike tracks, a variety of open space areas for picnics or outdoor activities and an abundance of nocturnal wildlife. When the Poatina Power Station was built in the late 1950’s, Poatina Village was constructed nearby to house the workforce.
