Kyoto 2011 – Day 1 | Pocketful of Thoughts
https://pocketfulofthoughts.wordpress.com/2011/05/20/kyoto-2011-day-1
We do not remember days, we remember moments. Cesare Pavese. Kyoto 2011 – Day 1. May 20, 2011. Mum and Dad decided to come to Japan for a holiday and since it was Golden Week in Japan, we headed South to Kyoto Although Dad has been to Japan 3 times? And Mum dunno how many times, both of them have not been to Kyoto (shocker! I mean Kyoto is like one of the must-see as it is one of the places that best represents traditional Japan. So off we went by shinkansen, which was also a first for both of them.
Miyako, Iwate Day 1 | Pocketful of Thoughts

We do not remember days, we remember moments. Cesare Pavese. Miyako, Iwate Day 1. October 7, 2010 3 Comments. The scenery was supposed to be fabulous though as the ride from Morioka to Miyako is actually along a river (Hei River) which joins to the Pacific Ocean at Miyako. BUT, it was bloody raining. It rained the WHOLE day. Not pitter patter rain, but downpour with strong winds (especially when we were near the sea). So we couldn’t really see anything along the way. Till the entry of Day 2. 8230;] humbl...

We do not remember days, we remember moments. Cesare Pavese. Kyoto 2011 Day 3. May 24, 2011 1 Comment. On the third day in Kyoto, it was raining, so we decided to go somewhere near and indoors. Flipping through the ryokan’s pamphlets which included their sightseeing recommendations, we settled on Nishiki Market. A chef preparing fresh seafood in advance for the crowd during lunch hour. Roasting tea leaves which wafted out a delicious aroma. And coffee while resting our feet. The iconic Japanese souvenier.
Kyoto 2011 – Day 2 Hikone | Pocketful of Thoughts
https://pocketfulofthoughts.wordpress.com/2011/05/22/kyoto-2011-day-2-hikone
We do not remember days, we remember moments. Cesare Pavese. Kyoto 2011 – Day 2 Hikone. May 22, 2011. On our second day, we headed to Hikone (彦根市), in Shiga Prefecture (滋賀県), a little less than an hour from Kyoto. Mascot of Hikone City, Hiko-nyan. Definitely worth the wait. After lunch, we continued on our way to Hikone Castle, walking along shophouses remodeled to look like town houses from the Edo period. This bridge was made so that it could easily be destroyed if enemies tried to cross it. Notify me ...

Sunshine and Smiles | Living with undiagnosed illness doesn't have to be sad
I had another hospital appointment last week. It was just to get the results of a test, but it was frustrating for a number of reasons. The consultant who saw me was not my normal one, and he just barely glanced over my notes before dismissing me as ‘deconditioned’. He told me to go and exercise and I would get better. I am so fed up of that line. It is endlessly frustrating to have doctors tell you, ‘Just go and get fit! 8217;, without actually reading over your notes. It undermines me and my struggle t...

It's full of surpises! Review] Old School Delight Cafe. Sorry for the hiatus yet again! My life has been prettybusy with work and bits and pieces of other stuff. There are a lot changes made to my life recently. I hope that it’s all good for the future. Yesterday I made some time to meet up with Yan. Delighting in the simple treasures of Faith and Family! Young Living Essential Oils. Tuesday, August 9, 2016. As we were planning our trip to Utah for the Young Living Convention we just knew we had to go back to Bryce Canyon. We fell in love with this incredibly unique National Park 10 years ago when my husband and I spent 30 days camping cross country after he returned home from Iraq.
