http://roaminggnometrails.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Everything from bandaids and blood to portable x-ray machines. Friday, January 20, 2012. So last week I got a call from county HR about 'the EMT position.' I was confused, since I didn't finish off the testing process, but I went along with it. I know they are opening up hiring for medics and EMT's soon anyway, so it seemed likely. Imagine my surprise when I get a call from the sheriff's office for a background check for dispatcher. Is it my dream job? In the meantime.I'm stressing. Etc), but at least I'...

http://roaminggnometrails.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Everything from bandaids and blood to portable x-ray machines. Sunday, October 3, 2010. Clinicals are still eating my life. I think I'm putting in more hours/week than if I was actually working. Anyway, reading Rogue Medic. So the first thing that irritated me was that while I went over to assess my patients, the other two immediately got out the cot and 2 backboards with all the trimmings. I believe totally in being prepared, but seriously? I will be better than that in the future. Finishing medic schoo...

Everything from bandaids and blood to portable x-ray machines. Monday, February 13, 2012. Leavin' on a jet plane. Tomorrow evening I will be sitting in a seat in a large metal tube, preparing to hurtle across the Atlantic Ocean. By morning I will be in Europe, specifically Germany, where I will meet up with my husband, and where we will drink good beer and eat good food and visit nifty sites worthy of the new lens I bought for my DSLR. Everything from bandaids and blood to portable x-ray machines. Saturday, April 30, 2011. So close I can taste it. Nearly there. Three more weeks until freedom rings.and I have to find a job. And on June 3rd, when I finish my practical test and am just waiting for them to send that card, I will have finally finished the journey I started all those years ago, when I was hoping just to gain a little extra knowledge before med school. And the next person who says, "but you're so smart! Monday, April 4, 2011.

I did get to look all smart and stuff when we got a call for a lionfish sting (there was an episode of Bones. Just when I think people can't amaze me anymore, I am proven wrong. Cab-ulance Tales: PASS!! Now what?
http://roaminggnometrails.blogspot.com/2012/02/pass-now-what.html
Everything from bandaids and blood to portable x-ray machines. Wednesday, February 8, 2012. So, I passed my MD state protocol test, which now affords me the ability to practice as a paramedic in my home state. As soon as I've jumped through all the hoops that the appropriate ALS affiliated company that I spend my time with has placed in front of me. (Gotta have all the boxes checked in this state, you know.). Great post, I’m looking forward to hear more from you! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
