As the generations passed, the arms would turn into more winglike appendages, and the thrust aspect of throwing the arms down would outweigh the momentum aspect, and it would become advantageous to throw the arms down multiple times to keep oneself aloft longer. This would of course turn into flying over the generations. Posted by LeRoy at 5:29 PM. Links to this post. Tuesday, February 10, 2004. The Evolution of Religion. Links to this post.

Monday, November 29, 2004. Are you serious or just trying to be provocative? It's a serious question, but I'm not completely sure of the answer that I've come up with. There are some parts that I'm sure about, and some parts that I'm not. One HUMONGUOUS distinction is: our forefathers were fighting against another organized army who attacked them in their own land while terrorists use innocent people in an attempt to advance their cause. In their own land? We torture the people we capture and justify it ...

What is a better form of population control, war or birth control? Most people would say birth control, and I'm not really going to disagree with that, but in my perfect world. Okay, now let's look at the practical issues, I'm better at those anyway. Here are a few practical points to consider concerning this issue:. 1) Natural Selection. A nation that does not...

Sunday, May 23, 2004. This is the single biggest mistake that the Bush administration has made. I don't have any evidence to back this up, but I suspect that Bush promised a lot of people fat reconstruction contracts if they supported the war, all paid for by Iraqi oil. That is why the military's first priority was to secure the oil wells and repair them. Posted by LeRoy at 7:56 PM. Links to this post. Tuesday, May 04, 2004. Posted by LeRoy at 11:26 AM. Homogenous Pizza: Why do people rural areas tend to be more conservative, and those in cities more liberal?
http://homogenouspizza.blogspot.com/2014/10/why-do-people-rural-areas-tend-to-be.html
Sunday, October 12, 2014. Why do people rural areas tend to be more conservative, and those in cities more liberal? I've wondered about this for a long time. For a while I figured that those living in cities tend to be more educated, and that more education allowed you to see the truth more clearly, and the truth was that liberal was better. Since I'm a liberal, this fit in nicely with the way I viewed the world. To put it another way, when there are strangers all around you, you always feel a certain pr...

Homogenous Pizza: Cernunnos

Friday, February 01, 2013. First, let me cover why I don't think he's the god of some of the above areas:. Not the god of the underworld. I think he's currently associated with the underworld because of his horns, and because the Christian image of the devil has horns. I'm not sure where the Christian image of the devil comes from, but it could result from an attempt to vilify the horned gods of other religions, such as Pan, or maybe even Cernunnos. Homogenous Pizza: Thoughts that are easy to see
http://homogenouspizza.blogspot.com/2010/06/thoughts-that-are-easy-to-see.html
Monday, June 14, 2010. Thoughts that are easy to see. There are two types of people in the world. There are some people who, when they learn something new, think that they're the first to learn it and rush to tell others, and there are those who, when they learn something new, assume that everyone else already knows it, and they're just glad that no one else knew that they didn't know it before hand. My theory is that people who picture thoughts this way will just assume that other people will already kn...

Wednesday, April 28, 2004. The value of a life. How does one compare the importance of, for example, a bug's life versus a human's life? Most people would consider the human's life to be more important, but this is just a result of natural selection, our species having discovered that by helping each other survive, we increase the chance that our genes, either our's or a relative's who carries many of the same genes, will be passed to the next generation. Of course, that leaves open the question of how t...
