Do You Hear Me Now?

http://www.poemsbyralph.com/06/974.html

Do You Hear Me Now? Lately I've been wondering about you. Always promising me things you never do. It's getting so I can't believe anything you say. Same old promises you're breaking every day. You don't know the meaning of the word: 'Work'. Looks like I've been wasting my time with a jerk. Apparently baby you aren't worth a hill of beans. You are immature as a kid in his early teens. Things must change around here soon. I mean beginning this morning not this afternoon. Do you hear me now?

Thinking About Him

http://www.poemsbyralph.com/06/977.html

Tonight the waxed moon looks the same. As it did the night he told me good-bye. I stood frozen gazing out over the still water. Doing my best not to let him see me cry. He promised he would come back soon. But somehow I knew his promise wasn't true. Because he turned away not looking into my eyes. It was then I knew our time together was through. I came back tonight to get my thoughts in order. Planning the path I will travel beginning tomorrow. A thought just entered my mind what I will not do.

Friendship

http://www.poemsbyralph.com/06/966.html

Sometimes the best advice you can give someone. Is listening when they tell their troubles to you. Many times a good listener helps a troubled friend. They'll know anything to help you're willing to do. Silence is golden' are wise words to live by. The best way to mend a troubled heart is to cry. By the same token often silence is the best advice. Amazingly, the reason for this I don't know why. One thing I do know is we love helping our friends. Anyway we can, that's the way friendship should be.

A Dreamer's Dream

http://www.poemsbyralph.com/06/964.html

If I could live in fantasy instead of reality. I would travel on the highest cloud in the sky. To an imaginary world existing in my dreams. A world where no one has reasons to cry. Wickedness is unheard of in my dream world. Kindness and compassion are displayed each day. Each and everyone shows respect for the other. And children fear no dangers when they play. All of us together can make my dream world real. If we will join hands and willingly accept each other. Ralph L. Clark  2006.

In Time

http://www.poemsbyralph.com/06/965.html

When she was a young girl in her teens. She dreamed of moving out on her own. Days and nights it was on her mind. Today she's missing her childhood home. She had no idea how complicated life is. How expensive living alone would be. Her salary barely meets her obligations. So many problems she didn't foresee. Mom and Dad understand her situation. She knows for help she only has to ask. But her pride won't let her ask for help. When they visit she dons a happy mask. Happiness is something you have to earn.

Can you write a poem for this dog? She is coming out of the ocean in Hawaii.). She enjoys playing with the frisbee, but think about why she enjoys it. Is she bringing the frisbee to you? Does she like to get wet? How does she smell when she is wet? What would she want to tell you. Check out my poem, here. What would your pet have to say about this snow person? Would it want to make friends? Would it want to lick it, or do something else? Is it possible for a snowman and a dog to become best friends?

Poems by Post

One poem per card, posted daily. It’s 2014 and Poems by Post is once again revised. Still glad you’re here! If you’re eager to receive a postcard and can’t wait for one to find you, I will sell you a poem. The catch is that it probably won’t be as great as the other poems you’ll read on this site because it will be written by me. To make up for this deficiency, I’ll try to select a pretty nice postcard for you. Judith Viorst, “Mother Doesn’t Want a Dog”. Billy Collins, “Dharma”. Middot; coogee theme.

Heart of a Poet

Heart of a Poet. Here is my heart . laid bare . for all to see . be gentle won't you . and handle with care . for it has been shattered too many times . to withstand much more. But it is the heart of a lioness . raging and passionate . stronger than I'd believed .resilient and beautiful. Thursday, January 09, 2014. By: RA. Slater. Your presence in my life. Featured Poem – One Accord. What good are our eyes if they can’t see right from wrong? What good is our voice if there’s a bad message in the song? What good are our noses if they only smell what is bad? If they never smell the roses that’s really very sad. What good are our lips if they speak an unpleasant word? And what good would our ears be if that’s all they ever heard? What good is our finger if it’s in someone’s face? What good is a smile if it’s really out of place?
