October 2014 – Poemsicles (& Other Literary Desserts)

https://poemsicles.wordpress.com/2014/10

Poemsicles (& Other Literary Desserts). Beware: fingers may be sticky). Our My Heart & mind. October 16, 2014. The widow’s brush lays on her dresser,. Strands of silver hair. Caught between the bristles. How long since she glanced in the cracked mirror? Her face, etched with wrinkles,. Evidence of a love long lost,. And a life half wasted. Dust hangs over the photographs. Protected in silver frames. The smiling faces behind them. Are obscured by the shroud,. Erased, in sense, by time,. Is too much to ask.

Sapphires – Poemsicles (& Other Literary Desserts)

https://poemsicles.wordpress.com/2015/02/04/sapphires

Poemsicles (& Other Literary Desserts). Beware: fingers may be sticky). Our My Heart & mind. February 4, 2015. Are my eyes like sapphires? Sparkling oceans of eternal blue. Set in a sandy beach. Of pale, imperfect skin. Ah, but I ask again-. My eyes, my eyes,. Are my eyes like sapphires? Sapphires like an endless sky,. Not flawed with clouds or chips,. Shimmering under the brightest light,. Glittering at every facet. I am imperfect in every way,. But my ghostly eyes-. Are my eyes like sapphires?

Poemsicles (& Other Literary Desserts). Beware: fingers may be sticky). Our My Heart & mind. Let the Skies Rain Down! June 9, 2013. Let the skies rain down! Let the world swallow us whole. And send us back to earth. From whence we came. Let the ground tremble. With all the majesty and horror. Of the end of days. Let the wind scream and howl. Let the skies rain down. May 2014 – Poemsicles (& Other Literary Desserts)

https://poemsicles.wordpress.com/2014/05

Poemsicles (& Other Literary Desserts). Beware: fingers may be sticky). Our My Heart & mind. May 26, 2014. The road ahead disappeared. Into trees taller than her fears. A deep breath…. 8230;the drowning silence. Darkness began to frost the leaves. Their tiny green tips. Became muted mint,. And razor sharp edges. Sliced into the wind. It would be easy. Maybe the path of least resistance. Was the one she left behind. A wise man once said. To take the path less travelled. He had not spoke.

Book Review: “Yes Please” by Amy Poehler – The Literary Phoenix

https://theliteraryphoenix.wordpress.com/2015/02/07/book-review-yes-please-by-amy-poehler

Funny, the damage a silly little book can do. Especially in the hands of a silly little girl. Book Review: “Yes Please” by Amy Poehler. February 7, 2015. October 28th, 2014. Non-Fiction, Autobiography, Memoir, Humor, Comedy. It’s just okay. I wouldn’t’ve enjoyed it at all if not for the audiobook. The thing about memoirs is that they are either really inspiring, or else they are just sort of. A little time on opinions, and a little time on. Available on Kindle, Nook, and iBooks. Lakeview, Waltham, MA, USA.

February 7, 2015. You will never be good enough. Do you hear that note, Peach? Her mother always called her ‘peach,’ or ‘berry,’ or some other fruit with a sweet flavor. Weekly Tea Time For My Soul – 1/14/17 – Spectres & Stardust

https://spectresandstardust.wordpress.com/2017/01/14/weekly-tea-time-for-my-soul-11417

Fly By, Shutterfly. Où mes rêves sont allés mourir. Weekly Tea Time For My Soul – 1/14/17. Harry potter and the chamber of secrets. Weekly tea time for my soul. Some weeks, I feel like my lungs are a lead balloon – this was one of those weeks! The start of the week was my favorite, because other than a flurry of chores, I gave myself permission for my husband and I to laze around the apartment all day and play childish video games. Really – that was the specific. Goal: pajamas and video games. It was 55-...

a requiem for autumn – Spectres & Stardust

https://spectresandstardust.wordpress.com/2016/10/28/a-requiem-for-autumn

Fly By, Shutterfly. Où mes rêves sont allés mourir. A requiem for autumn. I am a bit of a romantic about the whole thing. It’s like watching the world crawl from its cocoon to it’s short life as a butterfly. At first, there is nothing extraordinary. The fog hums low to the ground and the patient cows idle in their pastures. All is as it should be. Then, as though a shroud has been torn from the world, it all changes. It evolves, and it happens so quickly that if you blink, you may miss it entirely. These...

my eureka moment – Spectres & Stardust

https://spectresandstardust.wordpress.com/2016/10/03/my-eureka-moment

Fly By, Shutterfly. Où mes rêves sont allés mourir. I feel like I am forever waiting for my eureka moment. It’s a moment of joy, of satisfaction. A eureka moment is something special, a breakthrough, if you will. It’s the sort of thing that will change your life. The term “eureka” is believed to have been coined by Greek philosopher Archimedes. It translates to “I have found it! I will be the first to admit that at 26 years old, it is a bit tiresome to hear anybody – myself included! Am sure you will fin...

Poemsicles (& Other Literary Desserts). Beware: fingers may be sticky). Our My Heart and mind. March 15, 2015. March 15, 2015. Swirl around the moon,. Silver and sweetly they sing and saunter. Like an Alicorn flying high. Above the fantasy world below. With a wish upon a fallen star,. It flutters its metallic wings,. Shimmering horn pointed high. At the twinkling image. Myths high in the velvet sky,. The Alicorn bathes in stardust,. Its eyes nightshade,. As it drinks the moon. And soars into legend.

Poems I Love

Sunday, January 24, 2010. By Edgar A. Guest. I'd rather see a sermon than hear one any day;. I'd rather one should walk with me than merely tell the way. The eye's a better pupil and more willing than the ear,. Fine counsel is confusing, but example's always clear;. And the best of all the preachers are the men who live their creeds,. For to see good put in action is what everybody needs. I soon can learn to do it if you'll let me see it done;. And the lecture you deliver may be very wise and true,.

my favourite poems

Monday, August 21, 2006. Loneliness is a spirally infinite feeling,. Desperation overload in my mind,. Me, myself and I the only being,. In my mind unknown,. The feeling of less solitude. 2 do you know? I know you know but do you know? So many questions that you don’t know but ask. So many answers you know but try not to know. Words drifting left and right,. Midnight stroke my mind adrift,. The endless time you spend knowing. Boggling with infinite thought,. Jumping around the bending hour,. For you not,.

Poems Quotes and Verses of Wisdom. Just another WordPress.com weblog. The Road Not Taken. December 19, 2007. Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,. And sorry I could not travel both. And be one traveler, long I stood. And looked down one as far as I could. To where it bent in the undergrowth;. Then took the other, as just as fair,. And having perhaps the better claim,. Because it was grassy and wanted wear;. Though as for that the passing there. Had worn them really about the same,. December 19, 2007.

Poems in a Coffer

Poems in a Coffer. When reluctance gives in to the urge of expression…. Of Comings and Goings. This coming of yours. Feels so new, yet so old. As if the going never happened. And the coming was actually. Just a part of staying. So contenting, yet so empty. Feels like some season to me. Which arrives afresh every year. But has nothing novel to offer. Except for the hopes of new beginnings. So gratifying, yet so ruthless. Has got a going attached to it. Like the mornings which bring in the light. Would see...
