The number of cases pending at the Supreme Court went over 50,000 for the first time in a decade. Just to compare, 38,70,000 cases are pending in 21 High Courts and 2,60,00,000 cases are pending in trial courts. I could’ve said it in lakhs and crores, but it wouldn’t have the desired effect.
