What are poets for in these destitute times? Care no more for the opinions of others, for those voices. Do the hardest thing on earth for you. Act for yourself. Face the truth. Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found its words. I, the sculptor, am the landscape. In life, in order to understand the world, you must die at least once. There is God. There is no God. 3 thoughts on “ From the Notebook. July 25, 2015 at 9:26 pm. Gorgeous photos. Where were they taken Linda?

Persimmons | Botanical

https://poeticabotanica.wordpress.com/2015/07/01/persimmons

You came in from the rain. Carrying four persimmons,. A taste, you said, your lips. Later, opened, surrendered,. And seed from the orange cups. Mouthfuls of light, perfume. That draws the whole body in. Eyes closed, we tried,. And failed, to give words. To a sweetness we were. In danger of forgetting. We deserved and only we. Could pluck the fruit. One thought on “ Persimmons. July 2, 2015 at 4:31 pm. As Eliot didn’t quite say 100 years ago, do I dare to eat a persimmon? Leave a Reply Cancel reply.
