Monday, May 9, 2016. To teach is not endless babble. Show the student the point of the lesson, and then be quiet and let them fly. The same goes for writing poetry. Some will soar sooner then others. Poetry is an art that must be learned in. One's own way, at their own speed. On saying that, this is what I have been playing around with this week. A Cinquain is a five line poem that consists of. 1st line- 2 syllables. 2nd line- 4 syllables. 3rd line- 6 syllables. 4th line- 8 syllables.

I accidently found this wonderful website called writeshop.com while just looking around for poetry blogs,. And it teaches how to write what is called Cento poetry. I have never heard of this, so I'm determined to. I'll be starting out using some of my owm poems, then will go from there. I'll list the poems I use. Writeshop.com). I will be doing more of. Staying in- Line 1.
