An offering of poems and breakfast recipes. The membrane of a blood orange, when held up to the sun, begins to resemble something that lived underwater [1]. A sister of the urchin or sea anemone, it becomes translucent, and any remaining pulp glistens magenta, fuschia, pale yellow. The pool where her father drowned was a shallow container, just deep enough for her small body to dive. It is shadowed with tiny purple flowers and beneath the surface, his body lingers. https://poetryandbreakfast.wordpress.com/2014/12/07/the-remains-of-a-brown-speckled-pear-in-one-hand

An offering of poems and breakfast recipes. The remains of a brown, speckled pear in one hand. To the cool, white wet flesh of it. Sinewy fibres enclosing four hard, black seeds. And two that never matured. Clean them with tongue and teeth, lay them on the table with the stem. The rump end that was home to a flower. Pear blossom long withered and fallen. For the fruit to be bought,. Kept in a cupboard then washed, bitten, swallowed. To ferment, digest replenish. This is why i woke up this morning.

Poetry & Biscuits

Wednesday, May 27, 2009. Here's the quote that's on my mind today:. Is there more to life than increasing its speed? I was packing a lot, oh, I mean A LOT into the next several weeks. I just decided today to let some of it go. Disappointing. Very, very relieving. I will, after all, be moving states this summer. I need to just let that unfold and then move on to the next project and embrace the journey. I'd like to read a really good biography of Mahatma Gandhi. Can you recommend one to me? News and thoug...

Poetry and random thoughts. She lived in her dreams. And died in her misery. The moon that shines. Is the little light. Music to her ears. Held a pen like a knife. Stabbing it with every strokes. Killing her with every word. December 4, 2016. Words I can’t miss. Sun shining brightly up the sky,. Birds chirping and flying by,. My heart’s beating wildly. I don’t know why. You reach for my hand. Shaking as I stand,. Suddenly, you knelt. My heart started to melt. I think I know now. Finally, it’s coming.

I then lightly fry the corn tortillas in a small amount of olive oil then finally begin the base of my sauce. Here is what I do: I toss the poblano peppers, onion, garlic, calabaza, corn off the cob, and tomato in olive oil, salt, pepper then place on a baking sheet and roast until slightly blistered. Poetry and Bullets

Sexta-feira, janeiro 20, 2017. Ninguem, nunca, ninguem. Tapar o buraco,. Poetry and Business: A journal of incorporated verse

A journal of incorporated verse. The presumption in our culture, within both literary communities and corporate campuses, is that poetry and business are mutually incompatible. This presumption suits those who sit comfortably with poetry as it is, and with business as it is. Neither poetry nor business are served well, however, by those who sit comfortably with the way things are. Twenty one years ago, poet David Whyte shared a book called The Heart Aroused. The book was inspired by an essay by Dana Gioia.
