POETRY BY GINNY ~ POOR OLD TREE
http://www.poetrybyginny.com/POOROLDTREE.htm
Hey poor, old tree . what do I see? The drooping of your poor, old limbs,. Leafless, budless, almost lifeless,. Your shriveled branches thin as shims. The sap seems drained from all your veins,. You're as a spectre, ghostly white. Much like a spook that frightens one,. To be avoided in the night. How many years have you stood there,. A century . or two . or t. Still standing in that same old spot,. You're like a frozen thing, old tree. Your history's a mystery,. Which I wish could be disclosed,. Poor, ol...
POETRY BY GINNY ~ SLEEP TIGHT LITTLE ONE
http://www.poetrybyginny.com/SLEEPTIGHTLITTLEONE.htm
SLEEP TIGHT LITTLE ONE. Let us ponder the habits of cats,. That do nothing but snooze all day through,. They wake from their sleep only to eat,. Then return to their slumber anew. People cater to kitty cat whims,. Whether they'll admit it or not,. And a sleeping cat that's so relaxed. Makes folks tiptoe around a lot. What is this power that felines hold. That turns men of strength into pulp? Men stroke their fur just to hear them purr,. Which cats do without waking up. No cat ever had insomnia,.
POETRY BY GINNY ~ BATHTUB BALL
http://www.poetrybyginny.com/BATHTUBBALL.htm
My cat plays ball in the bathtub,. While the tub, of course, is bone dry,. And the frantic antics of the cat,. Often cause the ball to fly high. With a good swift bat, the tiny cat,. Can send the ball up to the rim,. Where it rolls around and then goes down,. For the cat to bat at again. But one day the ball flew out of the tub,. Into the adjacent porcelain pot,. It vanished then from the little cat's sight. And did not bounce back . as it ought. The porcelain pot was big and round,. For a flat, skinny p...
DRESSING UP FOR NEW YEARS ~ POETRY BY GINNY
http://www.poetrybyginny.com/DRESSINGUPFORNEWYEARS.htm
DRESSING UP FOR NEW YEARS. I'll be dressing up for New Years,. Though I've nothing planned to do,. I'll wear my diamond pendant,. And my diamond earrings, too. I'll have my hair done in the morning,. Though the operator's slow,. That's because I am insistent,. On the old style you liked, Joe. The shop will be quite busy,. I'll overhear the ladies talk. About their plans for New Years. And the outfits they have bought. I may feel a tinge of envy,. Though not a soul will know,. Just as I should do, Joe.

This, That, and The Other: Sour Cream Mayonnaise Biscuits
http://this-that-and-theother.blogspot.com/2009/05/sour-cream-mayonnaise-biscuits.html
This, That, and The Other. Where the spirit of inquiry is alive and has a free existence, ignorance cannot last. Sunday, May 10, 2009. Sour Cream Mayonnaise Biscuits. This is one of my husband's recipes, who is a better cook than a baker because he likes to experiment and not follow the recipes, which "those who know" say you're suppose to do if you bake anything. Most of his recipes are "dump it all in a bowl, mix it up and cook it." It's surprising how often that works, though. 1/2 cup of whole milk.

I believe that for a chocolate lover, like me, that nothing tastes better for something sweet to eat than a Hershey bar with almonds, or a dessert than a piece of good chocolate pie. 3 heaping Tbs. flour. 2 cups sweet milk (I use 2%). 1 baked pie crust. This, That, and The Other. Where the spirit of inquiry is alive and has a free existence, ignorance cannot last. Wednesday, May 6, 2009. How To Back Up Any Trailer. Whether you have a boat trailer, camper trailer or one of the many utility type trailers, the backing up of all trailers is the same. When backing up, you must turn the steering wheel the other way from the way you want the trailer to go. If you want the trailer to go to your left, turn the steering wheel to the right. Also, the shorter the t...

This, That, and The Other: How To Make A Terrarium
http://this-that-and-theother.blogspot.com/2009/05/how-to-make-terrarium.html
This, That, and The Other. Where the spirit of inquiry is alive and has a free existence, ignorance cannot last. Monday, May 4, 2009. How To Make A Terrarium. Terrariums or bottle gardens are an ancient hobby going back 150 years. They create their own atmosphere inside the container and therefore, need very little care. They are the ideal houseplant for those that have trouble keeping houseplants alive. Coarse gravel should be put in the bottom first for drainage. About an inch deep. Then you add the pl...
