Poetry coming around again. Grief: The Cost of Commitment. I'm fighting to open that door. Because I don't know what I will find. It's the fear of all that is unknown. And everything that would be left behind. It's the numbness I feel from within. I can no longer deny the cold truth. There is nothing more left to deny. Of an emptiness that I cannot undo. I've been suffocating in this loneliness. My back up against that wall. Standing on the edge of a looming goodbye. In love with you again I can't fall.

You will covet something from the greed. And the gluttony and theft as well. But in the end you can never win. As to answer at the gates of hell. Even envy will leave you with nothing. Poetry coming around again. You can't see that I am oppressed. Starving for love and nurturing. That you cannot provide to me. I have become a broken vessel. Aimlessly wandering in and out. Of fragmented chapters of this. Sad and dark love story. In truth I have no help left in me. And I don't know how to fix it. Too weak to take hold of what we had. Built on the very fragile foundation. Where we promised for better and worse. My hope for us is not unshaken. Surely you are enduring the same suffering.

2012: Year in Review. Well would you look at that! But he didn't. His loss. MAY I continued to settle into my job, and the days got longer and warmer. Jeff made his First Communion and at the end of the month, we split up to get the boys to their soccer tournaments over Memorial Day weekend. I took the 3 younger boys to visit their cousins in IL last week. Adding my three boys to my sister's seven made for a fun and crazy and chaotic week, and we had a great time. Poetry coming around again. It’s a place we’ve been many times before. Followed by the knowing sound of a slamming door. I don’t like being here now. I don’t like being here now. Edge of the cliff, fearful of the height. But when I look down I know what I’ll find. Still I won’t make a sound. Still I won’t make a sound. All the disillusion I’ve felt before. Clinging to my heart and mind ‘til I’m jaded. The writing’s on the walls, ceilings, and the floors. And I walk on eggshells trying not to break them.
