Just another WordPress.com site. Poem #62 – “The Gentle King”. I sent a message to the far off land. A message of hate, from a bitter hand. I called him to hear my words of lengthy war. I bade him fight and scramble, like we did before. I hated him through my words of pain. And called him worthless, a sickening stain. The Gentle King answered my call with words of his own. But he used kinder phrases than I’d ever known. He calmed all my fears and dried all my tears. But the Gentle King’s words ended his ...

Poem #69 – “An Enchanted Pool” | poetryinanutshell

https://poetryinanutshell.wordpress.com/2011/04/10/poem-69-an-enchanted-pool

Just another WordPress.com site. Poem #69 – “An Enchanted Pool”. A small creature lay broken and dying by a pool. He dipped his head in the water and drank. The water cooled his throat. He felt the cold tickle his throat and belly. But the tickle continued. And the water gushed out of his wounds. The pool drained into the creature. And life went with it. The creature stood and screamed. But as he did the pool filled again. And the wounds reopened. Leaving him a small dead creature by a pool.

Poem #66 | poetryinanutshell

https://poetryinanutshell.wordpress.com/2011/04/10/poem-66

Just another WordPress.com site. Bright, blue light cast down on the table. It was full of cakes and presents and hands. The utensils glistened cobalt in the light. And scraped endlessly on the glistening plates. A great voice rose above the mingled talk. And spoke words of wisdom and thanks. Then all raised a glass and fed themselves. On the libations of a life well spent. But under the table the feet kicked and fought. Ripping the calves of their neighbors. The dogs bit and snarled at one another.

POETRY IN ME

Sunday, March 11, 2012. Some come out weeping loudly. Some weeping quiet tears -. Some come out jumping wildly. Some crawling with their fears -. Some come out smiling broadly. Some biting their dirty nails -. Some come out fighting mildly. Some bring out their full entrails -. I wonder what they are thinking? I come out shouting strongly. And sometimes wipe my eyes. I come out skipping softly. Timid of what lies. I come out smiling sometimes. Sometimes sobbing with my pain. And some times feel insane.

poetry in an empty coke can

Poetry in an empty coke can. Guillemots – Made-Up Lovesong #43. May 30, 2017. June 1, 2017. Is hanging up its proverbial hat in 2017. Some shrewd readers may have noticed the regularity of posts had dwindled this past year, as priorities shifted and attentions necessarily diverted elsewhere. Enabling CCP to interact with a number of artists, promote the wondrous DC concert circuit, and cultivate some great friendships with other likeminded musos. It derives from Guillemots. A fantastic, forward-thinking ...

Follow this blog with bloglovin. Saturday, April 30, 2016. All Who Wander Are Not Lost. I've wandered, but I'm not lost. I haven't forgotten about my neglected blog. I've been 'missing in action,' though, for awhile. My Mom. Passed away and months have flown by faster than I could imagine. It's spring again and melancholy thoughts pop into my head. When I see yellow roses that I know she loved or hear a song she used to sing along with on the stereo. Guess she missed reading my posts! Of course, College ...
