Poetry is a bit of sanity. Friday, April 1, 2011. Friday, April 1, 2011. Greetings.and welcome (or welcome BACK) to my poetry blog.in celebration of National Poetry Month! Last April, I began this blog with the intention of only posting daily for a month. I really enjoyed the adventure, and had several followers suggest that I should have kept it "going". So I am excited to begin again.and who knows, maybe my musings and writings will seep into May, then June, and July. On a summer patio. Another cocktai...

Poetry is a bit of sanity. Tuesday, May 11, 2010. Tuesday, May 11, 2010. Last Saturday, the Crocker Art Museum in Sacramento celebrated their 125th anniversary. I was very honored to read my work at this event. I wrote a poem especially for this celebration- in thankfulness for Margaret Crocker and all she left for us in this lovely city of trees. For Margaret Crocker (1822-1901). The gift of gazing. The invitation to climb. Into and over and around. To test the edges. A pear glazed with sun.

Poetry Is About Feelings | Poems about anything you want in ten minutes or less!

Poetry Is About Feelings. Poems about anything you want in ten minutes or less! March 31, 2010 by Claudia Chesterfield. Inspired by this picture:. The Oracle of Humanity. The two most splendid things. On God’s Green Earth. The aquiline face of Fabio. The rigid abs of Fabio. The blistering power of that heavenly combination? Would we be Semele. Crumbling to hot ash. In the presence of that lightning bolt? Perhaps the son of us. Who emerges from the rubble. Would be our civilization’s Haephaestus:. It’s ti...

El niño que apuntaba alto. Y la niña que dio el salto. Se soltaron de la mano. Ea, ea, por qué lloras? El niño sueña a solas. Con campos de amapolas. Carita como las moras,. Chillona a todas horas. Nueve meses de verano,. Y ese viento lejano. Dejó atrás otra grieta. Brotó la rabia inquieta. Lo vimos venir, hermano.

Poetry Is An Orphan Of Silence

Thursday, October 2, 2008. Mom I Went To A Party. Here I am again! Depressing ass poem but it's been a favorite of mine for awhile- it's just well written and I read it when I was little and it made an impression on me. Mom I Went To A Party by Anonymous. I went to a party,. And remembered what you said. You told me not to drink, Mom,. So I had a sprite instead. I felt proud of myself,. The way you said I would,. That I didn't drink and drive,. Though some friends said I should. I made a healthy choice,.
