Rotary Club of Pohnpei. This is a picture of the only current public play area on Pohnpei. This was once a fun wooden playground that has been reduced to sharp poles and rotted wood due to the 508- 1016 cm (200-400 inches) of rain that fall on Pohnpei annually. Current progress: Last week was the third meeting in a row to be cancelled because the school administration (who asked for the meeting) forgot. In November I gave the passwords and a lengthy admin tutorial so they could populate the site with content, but they changed something and need another tutorial. www.pohnpeisdaschool.com. Continue past COM-FSM into Dien (close to the boundary of Sokehs and Kitti). Pass the pink house, and turn left at the next road to find the Dien church. Park there, and follow the trail up. Friday, January 23, 2009. Hi All. Just a quick hello and a few more pics for you to enjoy. The trip is slowly coming to an end, and our final numbers are 138 species from 67 genera. Of these 138 species, seven are bioluminescent! It has been a blast so far, and we are lookig forward to a few days off to enjoy the island before we head on home. Friday, January 16, 2009.
