I wanted to celebrate the journey we have taken, from Briar, to having Finn to finally bringing Eli home. It has not been an easy journey. it has not been without pain and heartache and hardship.but oh, how it has been worth it. Two sweet boys that make me SO HAPPY. Drop me a Note. I am so fortunate. The Lord has blessed my life BEYOND measure. It hasn't always been easy. 4 deployments. One child in heaven. Other challenges along the way. But my life is wonderful and I have incredible people in it. Was in the Army. I am so lucky to have such an amazing husband. We are now back in our hometown, after moving around to North Caroline and a long stint in Georgia. TWO years old :) , named Finn. We have another little boy we brought home from. Jacob's Dearest, Darlingest Momsy and Popsicle. August 11, 2011. Since going MIA a lot has happened in the McKew house. I have taken a firm stance in our house - no dog. I've been successful holding this position for 5 years. and recently Pat has urged me to reconsider this position. I had rules as we began to consider a "friend for Jacob" because this was completely about Jacob and not about his Daddy wanting a dog. 1 - I wanted an older dog, NOT a puppy. 2 - I wanted a dog that would be house trained.

Thinking, Thinking, Thinking. This Day: Part Two. We visited the doctor for a check-up and he couldn’t find a heartbeat. We then had an ultrasound. We waited as the ultrasound tech searched for a heartbeat. The baby was curled in a little ball, so it was difficult to get a good picture.
