Sabrage Software is just me - an IT professional who likes to experiment in his spare time with technologies not used at work. Most recently this has included Android and Scala. The applications on this site are used daily by the author - I eat my own dogfood. I have only been able to test them on a very narrow range of hardware, so let me know if your device has problems. What software do you use? My entire set up is completely free. The free Linux operating system. As an IDE. Specifically Motodev. As it has excellent Android support. To design against the Google APIs. A CMS that allows you to host websites for free on Google App Engine. Are your apps all free? Absolutely. it's the Android way. They contain no ads either. I will open source them as the code is cleaned up. Why are the apps so small? Why do you say not to use Task Killers?

Was written to overcome a hardware design flaw in the HTC Desire. When the Desire screen is off, there is no way of telling if it is powered on. The only way to switch on the screen is to press the power button, which boots the phone if it was off. Is a very lightweight application that enables/disables WiFi depending on the presence of a power source. There are (now) many apps that do this task, but none are as small and simple as PowerFi. Or not open source. It was principally developed to combat Android bug 2207. However, it can also simply be used to improve battery life. The following permissions are required for PowerFi.
