In 4 months I will go in again to do another tumor marker test. I will not have to do any more scans as long as my tumor marker test stay where it is at. Tuesday, December 12, 2006. As some of you may know I have been on a low iodine diet for over 2 weeks now. This diet shuts down your system and causes you to feel hypothyroid( real lethargic, etc ). It would actually cause brain damage if you lived on this diet. Its a horrible diet that is horrible for your health, but is necessary when having thyroid cancer body scans. Oh, well.
