Caramel Corn Pumpkins | professorpotpourri
https://professorpotpourri.wordpress.com/2012/10/29/caramel-corn-pumpkins
On October 29, 2012 · Leave a Comment. This recipe requires the caramel corn to bake in the oven for an hour to remove moisture and become crunchy. Once the moisture is baked out, caramel corn cannot be made into balls, thus, I modified the recipe to a non-bake method. First was popping the popcorn. I did this in the traditional way using 4 tablespoons of vegetable oil and 2/3 cup of popcorn. I made 2 batches of popcorn. The recipes for both the caramel corn and frosting are listed below. I posted previously about the Jamaican national dish, Ackee and Saltfish. This post concerns the other foods I sampled on the trip. The patties were very tasty (Note: the competition for Juici Patty is called Tastee Patty! We tried d...

https://professorpotpourri.wordpress.com/2013/07/17/the-cucumber-deluge
On July 17, 2013 · Leave a Comment. Summer time again and unlike past years I have a bumper crop of cucumbers. But why is it that they seem to ripen all at the same time? I was complaining about this the other day and a friend suggested I look into Benadictine Spread. Thanks to a recent NPR show, he said it sounded yummy. I had never heard of it, but here is the link to the NPR story. For those interested. So, I will not go into the history here, except to say that it originated in Louisville Kentucky.

Professor Potts: Aidan Potts. Apps, games, books, comic strips, and other capers. Is a rebus game. It’s utterly unique. Rebuses are images that represent words, they were the Sudoku of 100 years ago. It’s a visual brain teaser and vocabulary puzzle, which is also recommended for learners of English. There’s a free lite version for you to try on the Apple App store. The full version is only 1.79. You can get a new regular rebus every week on the blog section of this site, or by visiting this D-Pixing!
